これから10年先の社会はどうなっているのか。その社会で活躍するために、どのような技能を大学で学ぶのが良いのか。この授業の背景には、このような問題意識があります。そして、その一つの解として、様々な文脈で活用できる汎用的技能の習得があると考えています。
この授業では、汎用的技能の中でも、特に認知的能力（問題発見、拡散的思考、収束的思考、批判的思考、メタ認知能力など）に焦点を当てます。知識基盤社会においては、知を理解し、活用し、生み出す能力が求められているからです。実際に大学での学びは、幅広い知識や専門的な知識の獲得だけでなく、知に関する汎用的技能の習得に有効です。
この授業では、ワークショップを通して、様々な頭の使い方の基本を体験します。もちろん、一度のワークショップだけで、頭の使い方は身に付きません。この授業では、頭の使い方を一通り体験することで、その後の大学での学習を促進することを目的としています。
In this class, you will experience the basics of various ways of thinking ( Problem finding, divergent thinking, convergent thinking, critical thinking, meta-cognition ) through workshops.
知を生み出したり、活用したりする際に、どのような作法に従い、何を考慮すべきなのかについて理解することは、知識基盤型社会においては、研究職に限らず、様々な場で活躍する上で必要です。同時に、新しい知は次々に生まれており、その中で生じる問題に対処するためには、その作法自体も更新していくことが求められます。
現在、研究倫理に関する有用な指針は多くあるものの、個々の具体的な場面では、何が正しい行為なのかを判断することや、望ましい行為を実行することが難しいこともあります。その一方で、大学生活の中で、皆さんはこのような悩ましい問題に取り組み、作法を知るだけでなく、実践できるようになることが期待されています。
そこでこの授業では、皆さんが実際に学びや研究活動の中で直面しそうなジレンマが存在する事例を題材に、複数の行動の選択肢がそれぞれどのような価値を重視しているのか、その中で一般的にはどのような行為が推奨されるのか、その望ましい行為を妨げている原因や状況は何か、どうしたらその原因を取り除いたり、回避したりできるのかについて考えていきます。そして、より良い学習や研究を促す環境づくりに向けた、アイデアを出していただきます。
In this class, you will discuss academic integrity using examples of dilemmas that you may face in your learning and research activities. You will propose ideas for creating a good learning and research environment.
この授業での科学は、いわゆる理科や数学などに相当する自然科学だけでなく、社会や国語に相当する人文社会科学も含みます。よって理系・文系問わず、多様な受講生を歓迎します。
科学の現場では、違うものを似たような見方をすることをアナロジーと呼びます。科学的な例え話とも言えます。アナロジーは対象への理解を深めるのみならず、科学的なプロセスにおける問題や仮説の設定手法としても有用であるとされています。また逆に、同じものをいろいろな方向から眺めることでも、対象への理解が深まることがあります。このように様々なことがらを、様々な角度や距離から俯瞰的に眺めることは、科学の技法として大切です。
この授業ではこれらの技法を体験するために、自然科学における質量というよく知られた概念について再考したり、メタマテリアルという最先端の研究に触れたりします。またそもそも科学とはどういうものかについても考えます。そしてグループワークなどで自分の考えを説明し、クラスメイトや教員など他者の考えを聞くことで議論し、報告会では自分の考えをまとめて表現してもらいます。これらを通じて理系・文系の枠を取り払った総合的な知の足掛かりを築きます。
The word "Science" in this Class corresponds not only to natural sciences, like physics and mathematics, but also to the humanities and social sciences. We thus welcome all students with a wide variety of backgrounds.
In scientific research, a way of viewing different things from the same viewpoint is called analogy. Analogy enables us to understand an object deeply. Moreover, it is helpful for us to set a problem and make a hypothesis. On the other hand, we understand identical object deeply also by viewing from different points of view. In this way, bird's-eye view at a variety of distance and angle is a powerful technique in scientific research.
In this Class, we experience the technique by re-visiting well-known concepts in natural science, for example, mass, and touching cutting edge research topics, for example, metamaterials. Additionally, we consider also how to view science itself. At in-class collaboration, you should explain your ideas, hear opinions from your classmates and teachers, and give a presentation of your ideas and opinions. In this way, you will build up integrated intelligence without the border among the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
近年のめざましい情報技術の進歩と社会の変化に伴い、教育の前提となる人間観や、教育に用いられる技術は大きく変容してきており、その結果として教育の在り方は大きく変容してきた。この授業では、教育に影響を与えてきた心理学のパラダイムの変遷や、教育に用いられる情報技術の変遷を概観することで、情報社会と教育の関係を考えることを目的とする。

国際関係においては多種多様な背景を持つ人との分け隔てのないコミュニケーションが重要です。コロナ禍に見舞われる現代は、様々な課題が浮き彫りとなってきましたが、中でも孤立孤独の課題やコミュニティの分断は深刻です。演劇的手法には、言葉や文化の壁を越えて人々と人間関係を構築するためのノウハウが蓄積されていますが、大学教育の中で、このような分野横断的なスキルを身に着ける機会がほとんどありません。この科目では個々の人々が持つ多様性を理解するために、性格特性や人間科学に関する所見を取り入れながら実践的な課題に取り組みます。具体的には、対面で演劇的手法を取り入れたグループワークを実践しながら、豊かな人間関係を構築し、人々と共生していくための課題に取り組んでいきたいと思います。(※基礎ゼミで履修した学生にも初めて受講する学生にも対応できるように、内容は工夫されています）
In international relations, it is important to communicate with people of multicultural backgrounds in a non-discriminatory manner. In the Corona disaster, various issues have been highlighted in the current culture, such as the challenges of isolation and loneliness, and the fragmentation of communities. Theatrical methods have accumulated expertise in building human relationships with people across language and cultural barriers. However, there are few opportunities to acquire such cross-disciplinary skills in university education. In this course, students will work on practical issues while incorporating findings on personality traits and human science to understand the diversity of people. Specifically, I would like to work with students on issues of building rich relationships and living in harmony with people, while practicing group work that incorporates theatrical techniques, in face-to-face settings.

本授業において履修生は、著作権その他の知財制度の概要、海外での権利化に必要な条約の基礎知識、知財関連ライセンスの基礎、各知財専門家の役割、事業と知財戦略等について学ぶ。
The objective of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to IP management and IP strategy that engineers, researchers, IP professionals, and legal professionals in companies and universities should have in common.
In this class, students will learn an overview of copyright and other IP systems, basic knowledge of treaties necessary for obtaining IP rights abroad, basics of IP-related licenses, roles of IP specialists, and the relationship between business and IP strategies.
本と子どもが好きな学生と留学生に適した国際共修クラスである。さまざまな文化背景をもつクラスメートと本について対話をし、自己の理解、他者の理解を深め、国際教養を身に付けるとともに、本をテーマにした現代的課題を見つけだす。さらに、日本やさまざまな国の子どもたちに対する多言語ブックトークイベントの企画と実施を通して、異文化での協働力、問題解決力、創造力、コミュニケーション力を身に付けることを目的とする。留学生は東北大学日本語コースのレベル４（日本語能力試験Ｎ３合格レベル、中級前半修了程度）以上であれば、登録可。課外活動も行われる。

The aims of this course is to promote 1) students' understanding of both themselves and others, 2) acquisition of international liberal arts, and 3) finding contemporary issues on the theme of books, thorough
discussions with classmates who have different cultural backgrounds. In addition, planning and holding book-related events for children in the world enable students to acquire collaborative, problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills. International students: International students can registrate this course if you are at level 4 of the Tohoku University Japanese Language Course (Japanese Language Proficiency Test N3 pass level, completion of the first half of the intermediate level) Extracurricular activities will be also required.
人間は，意識的かどうかにかかわらず，外界の事物や自分や他者の状態等の多種多様な情報を認識し，行動を選択し，外界や他者に働きかけながら生活している。本講義では，このような情報のやりとりを支える感覚・知覚・注意・記憶・思考といった「こころ」の様々な機能を幅広く理解し，さらにはそれらの機能を実現する脳内メカニズムを理解することを目指す。適宜，錯覚等のデモンストレーションや心理学実験の実体験に加えて，最新の脳科学的知見や話題を織り交ぜながら講義を進めていく。
We consciously or unconsciously perceive various information from the internal and external environments, choose an adaptive behavior based on perceived information, and interact with the environments. This course aims at comprehensively understanding the adaptive mind such as sensation, perception, and cognition. This course will include many demonstrations of psychological phenomena and experiments to help students deepen their understanding of the adaptive mind.

そのような時代の中で、自分の人生や、将来の自分の姿をどのようにデザインすれば良いのか？本講義では、大学・大学院を卒業した後の自分自身をデザインし、そこへ向かうためにこれからの大学生活で自分が取組むべきことを考え、行動する術（「未来デザイン思考」）を身に着けます。オンデマンド教材と対面でのグループディスカッションを中心に自分や同級生などの価値観や考え方について分析や共有を行ったり、社会に出た先達へのインタビュー等を通じて様々なキャリアにいる人々の現実を知るなかで、自分自身の未来像を描いていきます.
In an era where it is no longer possible to follow a predetermined path of entering the desired faculty, earning credits according to the university curriculum, and then finding employment through job hunting, society is rapidly changing. Industries that individuals aspire to may disappear, while new industries emerge as the norm.
In such a time, how should one design their own life and envision their future self? In this lecture, we will learn the art of "future design thinking," which involves designing our future selves after graduating from university or graduate school, considering what we need to do in our university life to move towards that vision, and taking action. Through on-demand materials and face-to-face group discussions, we will analyze and share our own values and perspectives, as well as those of our classmates. We will also learn about the realities of various careers through interviews with experienced professionals who have already entered the workforce. Through these experiences, we will be able to envision our own future.
