知的財産B Intellectual Property B
本授業は、企業や大学の技術者・研究者、知財担当者・法務担当者が共通して身につけておくべき知財管理・知財戦略に関する基礎的な知識・技能の習得を目的とする。
本授業において履修生は、著作権その他の知財制度の概要、海外での権利化に必要な条約の基礎知識、知財関連ライセンスの基礎、各知財専門家の役割、事業と知財戦略等について学ぶ。
The objective of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to IP management and IP strategy that engineers, researchers, IP professionals, and legal professionals in companies and universities should have in common.
In this class, students will learn an overview of copyright and other IP systems, basic knowledge of treaties necessary for obtaining IP rights abroad, basics of IP-related licenses, roles of IP specialists, and the relationship between business and IP strategies.
企業や大学での知財管理・知財戦略において要求される基礎的な知識・技能を習得する。
Acquire the basic knowledge and skills required for IP management and IP strategy in companies and universities.
本授業の学習支援システムには、Google Classroom を利用する。
授業は対面で実施する。ただし、初回はオンラインで実施する（受講方法は、Google Classroom で指示する。）。
授業の内容と進度予定は、以下のとおりである。
1．ガイダンス（授業の進め方の説明）（第1回）
2．特許・意匠・商標制度の骨子（第1～2回）
3．著作権制度の概要（第2～6回）
4．知財関連条約の概要（第6～7回）
5．不正競争防止法およびその他の知財周辺法についての基礎知識（第8～9回）
6．知財関連ライセンスについての基礎知識（第10回）
7．各知財専門家の役割（第11～13回）
8．事業と知財戦略との関係（第13～14回。うち1回は、企業訪問に充てる予定である。）
9．近時の知財ニュース等を題材にした授業の総括（第15回）
※企業訪問の実施時期により、上記の進度予定がずれる可能性がある。
Google Classroom will be used as the learning management system (LMS) for this class.
This class will be conducted face-to-face. However, the first class will be held online; instructions will be given in Google Classroom.
The content and schedule of this class are as follows.
1. Guidance (explanation of how the class will proceed) (1st session)
2. Outline of Patent, Design and Trademark Systems (1-2nd session)
3. Overview of copyright system (2-6th sessions)
4. Overview of IP-related treaties (6-7th sessions)
5. Basic knowledge of unfair competition prevention law and other laws related to IP (8-9th sessions)
5. Basic knowledge of IP-related licenses (10th sessions)
6. Roles of IP specialists (11-13th sessions)
7. Relationship between business and IP strategy (13-14th sessions, one of which will be allocated for company visits)
8. Summary of the class based on recent IP news, etc. (15th meeting)
The above schedule may change depending on the timing of the company visits.
成績は、課題・授業への参加状況40％、期末試験60％で評価する。
Grades will be based on 40% for assignments and contribution to the class, and 60% for the final exam.

事前に、講義動画を視聴したり、演習問題を解いたりした上で授業に臨むことが求められる（予習時間は10時間程度を想定している。）。
授業時間内または授業時間外に2回程度、課題が課される。（時間外課題に取り組む時間は4時間程度を想定している。）
45時間の学習時間のうち、授業時間と、上記の予習時間と、上記の時間外課題の時間とを除いた時間を復習に充てることが求められる。
Students are expected to watch lecture videos and solve exercises before coming to class (10 hours of preparation is expected).
Assignments will be given around twice during or outside of class time. (About 4 hours of work on assignments outside of class time is expected.)

This class covers the scope required by the Intellectual Property Management Skills Test Level 3 (excluding the scope covered in Intellectual Property A) and the Examination of Copyright Proficiency for Practical Business (Elementary).
