人間を特別な存在たらしめるもののひとつに道徳性がある。現在、人間の道徳性の起源や発達については、社会科学、生物科学、人文科学など様々な研究分野で議論されている。
本講義では、特に心理学の知見をもとに、人間の道徳とは何か、どのように発達していくのか、どのように教育していけばよいのかを議論する。また、受講生は、他の受講生に対して、自由な発想でオリジナルの「道徳の授業」を提案し、実践する。
この「道徳の授業」は、小中学校の『道徳の時間』に囚われる必要はない。特に、一つの答えを押し付けないよう気をつけてほしい。
Darwin (1871) once wrote that “of all the differences between [humans] and [nonhuman] animals, the moral sense or conscience is by far the most important.”
The origins and development of human morality are currently being discussed in various fields of research in the social sciences, the biological sciences and the humanities.
In this course, we will discuss what human morality is, how it develops, and how it can be educated, especially based on the findings of psychology.
Students will also propose and practice 'moral lessons' for other students in the course.
It is hoped that this moral lesson will be free from the "Dotoku-no-Jikan" of primary and secondary school and that they will avoid imposing a single answer. Students could create their own lessons based on their free ideas.
倫理学の醍醐味の一つは、道徳や幸福についてたんに意見を言うことではなく、そうした意見を根拠とともに主張したり、その根拠を吟味したりすることにあります。偉大な倫理学者たちが偉大なのにはさまざまな理由がありますが、その一つは、その人たちがしっかりした議論を作り、常識的な前提から、否定しがたいステップで、とてつもない帰結を引き出したりしたことに求めることができるでしょう。この演習では、プラトン以来の西洋倫理学史を、倫理学者たちのテキストから議論を再構成することを通じて学びます。
最初の数回で論証の再構成の仕方を学び、あとはひたすら倫理学者たちのテキストから論証を再構成していきます。たびたび課題を出しますので、演習の前に提出し、演習で素材として提示してください。それをもとに、みなで論証を検討していきます。
In this seminar, we will learn the history of Western ethics since Plato through reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. In the first sessions, we will learn how to reconstruct arguments, and after that we will work on reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. Assignments are frequent. Active participation is required.

マンガは文字と絵の複合的なメディアである。マンガを読むという行為は、文字認知やイメージ処理、ストーリー理解や感情表現といった、ヒトの認知処理が関与する多くの要素を含んでいる。しかし、マンガの読みの認知特性に関してはまだ研究が十分に蓄積されておらず、探求すべき価値のある多くのテーマが残されている。そこで本授業では、マンガを読むという身近な行為を、認知科学の視点から科学的に探求することを目的とする。（マンガを描いたり、マンガの批評やレビューを行うといった主旨ではないことに留意してほしい。）
Manga is a complex media of text and pictures. The act of reading comics involves many elements of human cognitive processing, such as text recognition, image processing, story comprehension, and emotional expression. However, the cognitive characteristics of comics reading have not been sufficiently studied yet, and there are still many themes worth exploring. In this class, we aim to scientifically explore the familiar act of reading comics from the perspective of cognitive science. (Please note that the purpose of this class is not to draw comics or to critique or review comics.)
国際関係においては多種多様な背景を持つ人との分け隔てのないコミュニケーションが重要です。コロナ禍に見舞われる現代は、様々な課題が浮き彫りとなってきましたが、中でも孤立孤独の課題やコミュニティの分断は深刻です。演劇的手法には、言葉や文化の壁を越えて人々と人間関係を構築するためのノウハウが蓄積されていますが、大学教育の中で、このような分野横断的なスキルを身に着ける機会がほとんどありません。この科目では個々の人々が持つ多様性を理解するために、性格特性や人間科学に関する所見を取り入れながら実践的な課題に取り組みます。具体的には、対面で演劇的手法を取り入れたグループワークを実践しながら、豊かな人間関係を構築し、人々と共生していくための課題に取り組んでいきたいと思います。(※基礎ゼミで履修した学生にも初めて受講する学生にも対応できるように、内容は工夫されています）
In international relations, it is important to communicate with people of multicultural backgrounds in a non-discriminatory manner. In the Corona disaster, various issues have been highlighted in the current culture, such as the challenges of isolation and loneliness, and the fragmentation of communities. Theatrical methods have accumulated expertise in building human relationships with people across language and cultural barriers. However, there are few opportunities to acquire such cross-disciplinary skills in university education. In this course, students will work on practical issues while incorporating findings on personality traits and human science to understand the diversity of people. Specifically, I would like to work with students on issues of building rich relationships and living in harmony with people, while practicing group work that incorporates theatrical techniques, in face-to-face settings.
授業のテーマ：行動経済学を通じて、人間の合理性について考えてみよう
経済学は経済活動における人間の行動を分析する学問でもあります。主流派経済学（新古典派経済学）では伝統的に人間は合理的に行動するものだということを前提にして分析を行ってきました。ところがそうした理論的前提に対して、人間は本当に合理的な存在なのか疑問を呈する人たちが表れて、実験を通じて人間は結構合理的ではない行動をするものだと主張するようになりました。ところがさらに実験を進めると人間は完全に不合理というわけでもなく、不合理の方向に予想可能な側面があることもわかってきました。それと同時にそうした「予想可能な不合理」を利用したビジネス戦略がたくさんあることもわかってきました。このプレゼミでは、行動経済学のテキストをグループ単位で輪読・発表・ディスカッションすることを通じて、人間は合理的なのか不合理なのか予想可能な不合理なのか、予想可能な不合理性はビジネスの世界でどのように利用されているのか、それは伝統的な経済学をどのように拡張していくのかなどの問題について考えていきたいと思います。
経済理論の前提に興味のある学生、経済学と心理学の関係に興味のある学生、経済学とビジネス戦略の間の関係に興味のある学生、経済学の現実への応用に興味のある学生の積極的な受講を期待します。
In this class, students will think about the rationality of human being. Traditionally, economics have the assumption that human being is rational. However, we can easily observe the irrational behavior of us. Therefore, we have doubts about the assumption of rationality is true or not. Let’s discuss we are rational, irrational or predictably irrational!
