In this course, group work and other group activities will be conducted in addition to lectures to enable active learning. Lectures will be given on the following points: ①Significance, role, goals, and content of Extracurricular Activities. ②Significance and instructional considerations regarding classroom activities and other group activities at school. ③Significance, role, goals, and content of the Period of Integrated Study (including the Period for Inquiry-Based Cross-Disciplinary Study).　④Instructional planning and considerations for the Period of Integrated Study (including the Period for Inquiry-Based Cross-Disciplinary Study).

教員免許状取得希望の学生にとって、教育課程に関する理論や実施状況について学ぶことは、教育制度や教育改革そのものを理解することでもある。授業では、学校が直面するさまざまな教育的課題を取り上げながら、教育課程の意義や編成方法について学べるようにしている。例えば、各教科や道徳、特別活動の指導法・技術について、ワークショップなどの討議やロールプレイングなどの実技を交えながら授業を展開する。
