この授業では、近現代の大陸哲学の基本概念を学ぶ。その際、歴史順に概観するのではなく、「生命と生」「身体」「他者理解」などの重要な問題に沿って検討を進める。
This course deals with the basic concepts of modern and contemporary continental philosophy, by picking up some important issues such as "life," "body/embodiment" "understanding others," and so on.
20世紀以降、英米圏を中心に展開している分析哲学は、哲学的問題への取り組みが言語を用いてなされていることに着目し、言語の働きを分析することで哲学的問題に答えようとする。このため、分析哲学では、言語の基礎的現象、例えば、言語表現が何かを指示したり、意味したりすることができるのはなぜかを明らかにすることが重要な課題となった。この講義では、言語の指示や意味、あるいは発話の理解といったテーマに関して、分析哲学で行なわれてきた議論を概観する。

二十世紀の哲学においては、人間の身体性（embodiment)は色々考えなおされて、特にフッサールの開始した現象学派においては身体は大きな問題として見做られてきた。知覚も感情も身体的なものとして認めたら、芸術の鑑賞と創作にとっても身体は大事なものになった。M.Merleau・PontyとH.Schmitzの芸術論が根本的に違いますが、両方の思想においては身体は根本的な役割を果たす。現象学へ入門して、この著者の美術論を紹介する。
In 20th century philosophy, human embodiment has been thoroughly rethought, especially in the phenomenological line of philosophy inaugurated by Husserl. Recognizing the body as a site of both perception and emotion, involved in both the production and the appreciation of art, made it extremely important for this approach. The analysis of embodiment of M. Merleau-Ponty and Hermann Schmitz, two major phenomenologists, differs significantly, but in both authors the body plays a central role. After introducing the general outlines of phenomenology, we will explore the theory of art in these two authors.

How to understand the relationship between science, technology has become an increasingly important issue today. This course deals with the basic concepts and principles of philosophy of technology . It also explains some important social issues of philosophy of technology.
哲学は、移ろいやすい世の中にあって変わらずにあり続けるものについて、じっくり考える営みである。その一方でわれわれは、まさに現実の生活経験のただ中で、ものを考えるきっかけに出会う。20世紀最大の哲学者と称されるマルティン・ハイデガー（1889-1976）も、日常性から出発してみずからの根本問題を摑みとった思索者であった。この授業では、ハイデガーの思索を手がかりにして、現代における哲学の可能性を考えてゆく。

・古代ギリシャ哲学のうち、ミレトス学派からソクラテス、プラトン、アリストテレスを経てヘレニズム哲学、プロティノスまでのの主要な論点を学び、そのいくつかについては自分なりに考えてみることで理解を深める。
・講義だが、質問・意見を積極的に出してもらう（質疑応答は哲学の問題や主張を理解していくための重要なプロセスなので）。わかりにくい点はできればその場で質問してほしいが、次回（以降）でもよい。
The objective is to learn the basics about ancient Greek philosophy from Milesian School to Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle to Hellenistic philosophers and Plotinus. Basically a lecture, but questions will be very welcome.

最初の数回で論証の再構成の仕方を学び、あとはひたすら倫理学者たちのテキストから論証を再構成していきます。たびたび課題を出しますので、演習の前に提出し、演習で素材として提示してください。それをもとに、みなで論証を検討していきます。
In this seminar, we will learn the history of Western ethics since Plato through reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. In the first sessions, we will learn how to reconstruct arguments, and after that we will work on reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. Assignments are frequent. Active participation is required.
