This course aims to provide a basic understanding of the General Theory of criminal law. The following topics are covered; omission, attempt and complicity. The remaining topics are covered in Criminal Law 1.

This course aims to provide a basic understanding of the General Theory of criminal law. The following topics are covered; basic theory, actus reus (act, result and causation), mens rea (intent and negligence), justification (self-defense, necessity and consent) and excuse (insanity, duress and mistake of law).

本科目は、行政法の基本原理や概念について概説する。行政法の特質、法源、基礎理論、具体的な行為形式、や通則的法制度について、判例等を素材に検討を加える。

特に、個別の法律(建築基準法、風営法や廃掃法など）をよく読むことになる。

This course teaches the basic principles and concepts of administrative law in Japan. The following topics are covered: characteristics of administrative law, sources of administrative law, and various forms of administrative programs. It also explains the general administrative law system. You are required to read the cases and statutes in advance of lectures.

日本国憲法の定める統治機構について講義する。

This course teaches the framework of government under the Constitution of Japan. The following topics are covered: separation of powers, electoral system, the Emperor, powers of the Diet, powers of the Cabinet, relationship between the Diet and the Cabinet, structure of the courts, judicial power, power of judicial review etc.

最近の裁判例・論文・立法等を素材としつつ，今日の刑事訴訟法が当面している基本的問題について検討を加えることにより，刑事訴訟法に関する知識・理解を深める。

This course aims (1) to provide a basic understanding of criminal procedure in Japan and (2) to develop problem analysis and proposal abilities for research in this area through discussion of various topics.
