地球上のさまざまな環境・地域の人類文化の多様性に着目し、それらの理解と記述を行いながら、人間とは何かを問う文化人類学について概説する。人類学的視座とそこで提供される民族誌的事実は、常に我々の社会の常識を揺さぶり、そこで当然視されてきた論理を明らかにしてきた。基本的な概念と思考の枠組みについて学ぶと共に様々な文化の多様性に触れることを目的とする。
This course focuses on the diversity of human cultures in various environments and regions around the world, and provides an overview of cultural anthropology, which questions what it means to be human, while understanding and describing them. Anthropological perspectives and the ethnographic facts they provide have always shaken the common sense of our society and clarified the logic that has been taken for granted. The purpose of this course is to learn about basic concepts and frameworks of thought, as well as to experience the diversity of various cultures.
人間社会情報科学専攻に所属する人文・社会科学系の教員が、それぞれの研究分野・専門の立場から、高度情報化社会における問題を論じる。
・Google Classroomを用いて、情報の共有を行う。クラスコードは別途アナウンスされる。
・第1回(4/8)は、8:50~9:40に日本語で授業概要、9:50~10:30に英語で説明を行う。いずれかに必ず参加すること。対面での参加がやむを得ずできない場合は、コーディネーターに連絡すること。連絡先は下記参照。

日本近世には様々な思想的営為が見出される。日本近世の思想家達によって生み出された思想的古典について、研究者によって「現代的意義」を有するものと評価されたり、明治時代以降の近代日本を準備したと理解されるものもあった。そして、こうした理解は、後の「日本文化論」形成に大きく寄与するところが大であった。
この講義では、日本近世の思想空間の特質について思想的古典に即しつつ、政治思想を中心として近世思想の歴史的展開に関する通説的理解の再検討を行うとともに、理論的側面についても積極的に論及する。
【In the early modern period of Japan, a variety of ideological activities can be found. The classics produced by early modern Japanese thinkers have been evaluated by scholars as having "contemporary significance," and some have been understood as having prepared modern Japan for the Meiji era and beyond. These understandings greatly contributed to the formation of later "Japanese cultural theory.
In this lecture, we will review the common understanding of the historical development of early modern thought, with a focus on political thought, while actively discussing the theoretical aspects of the space of thought in early modern Japan, in line with the ideological classics.】
美術史とは歴史研究における方法のひとつで、美術作品を資料として分析し、どのような時代背景のもと、どのような意識に基づき、なぜ制作されたのか、各時代の人間の営為や精神を見つめることを目的とする学問である。一見、入口としてハードルは低そうに見えるが、美術作品はいわば歴史の「上澄み」であり、その下を支える思想、哲学、宗教、文学などは多様で複雑である。
本講は「日本絵画史」の続編にあたり、東アジアにおける文化の総決算ともいえる江戸時代に焦点を絞り、その広範な文化的背景を解きほぐしつつ、主要な美術作品の諸様相について概観していく。「絵画」のみではなく、「刀剣」「刀装具」「染織」などの諸工芸についても言及し、東アジアのなかの日本という観点から、中国大陸や朝鮮半島からの影響と日本の独自性についても考える。

美術史とは歴史研究における方法のひとつで、美術作品を資料として分析し、どのような時代背景のもと、どのような意識に基づき、なぜ制作されたのか、各時代の人間の営為や精神を見つめることを目的とする学問である。一見、入口としてハードルは低そうに見えるが、美術作品はいわば歴史の「上澄み」であり、その下を支える思想、哲学、宗教、文学などは多様で複雑である。

本授業の目的は、食糧問題とその解決をめざす光合成研究、および持続的な作物増産に挑戦する科学を学ぶことにある。まず、人類の食糧増産に貢献してきた植物科学の歴史と現在進行する食糧問題の解決をめざす作物増産の課題について考える。続けて、光合成と光呼吸の基礎的な生化学を学ぶ。次に、現場での作物増収の課題と光合成機能の改変による作物増産に関する研究例を学び、人類の食糧問題の未来について論議する。
The purpose of this lecture is to learn about food problems and photosynthesis research aimed at solving them, as well as science challenging sustainable increases in crop production. First, students consider the history of plant science, which has contributed to increasing food production, and the challenge of increasing crop production to solve the ongoing food problem. Next, the students learn about the basic biochemistry of photosynthesis and photorespiration. Last, students will understand the issues of increasing crop yield in the field levels, and discuss increasing crop production with improving photosynthesis.
文化により人間の行動や心理にどのような違いがみられるのだろうか。文化による違いはなぜ生じるのだろうか。異なる文化に接触したとき人間に何が生じるのだろうか。これらの問いを念頭に、この授業では、文化を研究主題にして成果をあげている心理学の理論と研究例を解説する。
