日本近世政治思想の歴史的展開
【Historical development of Japanese early modern political thought】
日本近世には様々な思想的営為が見出される。日本近世の思想家達によって生み出された思想的古典について、研究者によって「現代的意義」を有するものと評価されたり、明治時代以降の近代日本を準備したと理解されるものもあった。そして、こうした理解は、後の「日本文化論」形成に大きく寄与するところが大であった。
この講義では、日本近世の思想空間の特質について思想的古典に即しつつ、政治思想を中心として近世思想の歴史的展開に関する通説的理解の再検討を行うとともに、理論的側面についても積極的に論及する。
【In the early modern period of Japan, a variety of ideological activities can be found. The classics produced by early modern Japanese thinkers have been evaluated by scholars as having "contemporary significance," and some have been understood as having prepared modern Japan for the Meiji era and beyond. These understandings greatly contributed to the formation of later "Japanese cultural theory.
In this lecture, we will review the common understanding of the historical development of early modern thought, with a focus on political thought, while actively discussing the theoretical aspects of the space of thought in early modern Japan, in line with the ideological classics.】

出席を兼ねたミニットペーパーによる記述(50%)、期末試験(50%)で評価する。
【Evaluation will be made on the basis of the "Minute Paper" (50%) and a final exam (50%).】
基本的文献については講義内で紹介するので、附属図書館を積極的に利用し読むこと。

再履修は認めない。高等学校で日本史・倫理を履修していることが望ましい。単なる単位取得を目的とする者にはおおよそ不向きな講義である。意欲的かつ真面目な学生の受講を期待する。
