現代教育の歴史的な形成過程を考える上で重要な教育学上の諸概念について、その歴史的な背景をふまえて講じる
皆さんにとって学校の原風景とはどのようなものでしょうか。同一年齢の集団で構成される「学級」とよばれるものへの帰属、「教室」によって仕切られた空間、整然と並べられた机と椅子、おそらくそんな光景ではないでしょうか。よく考えてみると、このほかにも、学校とかかわって私たちが当たり前のこととして受け入れているさまざまな出来事があります。たとえば学級のなかでは「教科書」という特別な書物が使用され、定期的に「試験」がおこなわれること、公立の小学校・中学校では男女が同じ学級で学んでいること、なぜか高校以降では別々の場合があること、一定の年齢までの教育が「義務教育」とされていることなどなどです。このようなことを私たちはいちいち疑問に思うこともなく過ごしています。それは、これらのことが、ある種の強さをもって私たちの社会のなかに一定のポジションを獲得しているからなのでしょう。この講義では、このようにして成り立っている現代教育の諸側面のうちから、いくつかの場面を切り取って、それらと関連する教育学上の（あるいは周辺学問領域の）諸概念について紹介したいと思います。それによって、現代教育の成り立ちについて理解するだけでなく、時にはそれらに疑念を差し挟む眼力を養ってほしいと期待しています。
This course will discuss the historical development of modern education, focusing on key educational concepts and their historical backgrounds.
What do you consider to be the original landscape of school? It might be a space called a "classroom," divided by age groups, with desks and chairs neatly arranged. When we think about it, there are various other events related to school that we take for granted. For example, special books called "textbooks" are used in the classroom, "examinations" are given periodically, boys and girls study in the same class in public elementary and junior high schools, but for some reason they may be separated after high school, education up to a certain age is considered "compulsory education," and so on. We tend to accept these aspects without question because they have firmly established their position in our society. In this lecture, I would like to introduce various aspects of modern education that have been formed in this way, along with related educational (or peripheral academic) concepts. Through this, I hope students not only understand the formation of modern education but also develop the ability to critically question these aspects.
本授業では、教育に関連する基本的な諸概念を的確に踏まえるとともに、教育に関する理念や思想およびその歴史について、さらに現代日本にもつながる学校教育の歴史的な成り立ちについて概観する。その過程において、受講生各自の教育体験を振り返らせることによって、教育を支える諸要因とそれら相互の関係についての理解と確認を図る。授業は基本的には講義形式で進めるが、毎時受講生にワークを課して、授業の理解の定着と深化を図る。
In this class, we will provide an accurate understanding of basic concepts related to education, and will also provide an overview of the philosophy and thought behind education, its history, and the historical formation of school education, which is connected to modern Japan. In the process, by having students reflect on their educational experiences, we aim to understand and confirm the factors that support education and their mutual relationships. Classes are basically taught in a lecture format, but students are assigned to work every hour to help establish and deepen their understanding of the class.
本授業では、わが国における学校教育の社会的な成り立ちとその制度を概観するとともに、現代日本の学校教育をめぐる諸問題・諸課題を学校教育の経営という視点から考察する。その過程で、社会と教育のありうる関係とその意義、および子供の人間形成と社会にとっての学校教育の意味を明らかにしてゆく。本授業は基本的には講義形式で進めるが、毎時学生に課す小レポート（振り返り）をもとに、授業の理解の定着と深化を図る時間を設ける。
【授業方法】
本授業は基本的にハンドアウトに基づき、講義形式で進める。
毎授業時間の終了時に10分程度の時間を使い、授業内容に関する課題をミニットペーパーにて小レポートとして作成し、提出する。提出された課題に対しては必要に応じ解説および補足説明を行い、授業内容の理解を深める。
この授業では、日本の大学・高等教育機関で教員を目指す本学大学院学生が、現代日本の大学教育・高等教育で求められる基礎的知識を習得し、自分自身で授業を分析・設計・開発・実施・評価する自己省察力を身につけることを目的とする。
The purpose of this class is twofold.
The first is to provide graduate students of our university who wish to become teachers in Japanese universities and higher education institutions with the basic knowledge required in modern Japanese university education and higher education.
The second is for the students to acquire self-reflection skills to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate their own classes.
ニュースの現場で活躍する読売新聞記者が授業を担当する。新聞を教材に講義、討論、文章作成などを重ねながら、ジャーナリズムと現代社会の諸相について考えていく。特に、高度情報社会に生きる一員として、変容が著しいマスメディアへの理解を深め、複雑化する現代社会に対する分析力を養うことに主眼を置く。取材演習を通じて、ニュースの編集や報道について体験的に学ぶ。講義や討論などにより、ジャーナリズムの実像や、ジャーナリストの社会問題に対する着眼点について認識を深める。発表、討論、文章作成など、アクティブ・ラーニングの手法を多用する。将来の進路としてマスメディアに関心がある者や、実社会の知識を活用していくためのヒントを得たい者の履修も歓迎する。
The Yomiuri Shimbun reporters who are active in the field of news reports will be in charge of the class together. We will think about various aspects of journalism and contemporary society by repeating lectures, discussions, writing sentences, etc. using newspapers as learning materials. We also welcome those who are interested in the mass media as a future course and those who want to get hints for utilizing knowledge in the real world.
