In this course, students will understand the fundamental structure and functions of organelles, and learn about the molecular mechanisms of membrane transport across the plasma membrane and of membrane trafficking between organelles.
In this lecture, the first half will lecture on characteristics of intracellular signaling molecule and receptor, intracellular signaling mechanism. In the latter half, we outline the components of the cytoskeleton and intercellular adhesion and lecture on the relationships with cell morphology, migration and division. Also lecture on molecular mechanism of cell cycle, cell division and cell death. Furthermore, we will explain the canceration of the cells, metastatic mechanism, morphogenesis, maintenance of tissue homeostasis, etc. on the background of these knowledge.
