地理学が成立したプロセスと地理学の諸理論を習得するとともに、都市や集落の成立、産業の立地や地域との関係、日本を含む世界のの地域性などを題材にして、人間社会と環境との関係をを地理学の立場から理解する。
Students of this class learn a process and the geographical theories. On the basis of it, human society and local environment are understood from a geographical viewpoint.
本授業では、地球上に広がる様々な自然環境と人間活動の諸相を概観し、地理学的視点について学ぶ。自然地理学と人文地理学はそれぞれ自然と人間を主な対象としつつ、空間的な視点や地図、地理情報技術の利活用といった共通の方法論を用いて、多様な自然と人間の諸相、およびそれらの相互作用関係を明らかにする学問である。本授業では前半を人文地理学、後半を自然地理学とする。人文地理学では、都市の盛衰と地域格差、健康や犯罪の地域差、そして各種の地図利用について議論する。自然地理学では、過去から現在に至る地形と気候の形成過程およびそれらの原理の理解を通して、自然環境と人間活動の関係性について議論する。
This course provides an overview of various aspects of the natural environment and human activities on the earth, to help students learn about geographical perspective. Physical geography and human geography are disciplines that focus on nature and human beings, respectively, and use common methodologies such as spatial perspectives, maps, and the use of geographic information technology to clarify the various natural and human phenomena and their interactions. The first half of this course is about human geography and the second half is about physical geography. In the human geography part, we will discuss the rise and fall of cities and regional disparities, regional differences in health and crime, and various types of map use. In the physical geography part, we will discuss the relationship between the natural environment and human activities based on an understanding of the formation processes and mechanisms of topography and climate from the past to the present.
地誌学の役割は人間の居住様式の多様性を地域性として説明するところにある。この授業では、日本、先進国、発展途上国の都市社会を事例に、グローバリゼーションの影響を受けながら諸都市が直面するローカル／グローバルな課題と、その解決に向けた取り組みやその効果について理解を深めることを目的とする。
This lecture covers regional geography of cities in Japan, the developed countries, and the developping countries.

本授業では日本語の評論家かつメディア研究者の著書の英語版を読解し、現代のポピュラー･カルチャーにおける大きな傾向（消費の特徴や生産者と消費者の関係や文化産業の有様等）について学ぶ。また、英語版と日本語版の比較を行い、翻訳の方法や（研究成果を纏める）一般読者向けの英文の書き方を解説する。
This course aims to help the students develop their language skills and acquire a better understanding of contemporary Japanese popular culture through comparative reading of Japanese texts and their English translations. The reading list consists of general audience and specialized publications by Japanese cultural critics and media scholars. Comparative reading will allow students to expand their vocabulary, get acquainted with common translation techniques and patterns, and get used to reading Anglophone publications. For English-speaking students, it is an opportunity to improve their skills in reading and translating Japanese texts.

人間社会情報科学専攻に所属する人文・社会科学系の教員が、それぞれの研究分野・専門の立場から、高度情報化社会における問題を論じる。
・Google Classroomを用いて、情報の共有を行う。クラスコードは別途アナウンスされる。
・第１回（4/8）は、8:50～9:40に日本語で授業概要、9:50～10:30に英語で説明を行う。いずれかに必ず参加すること。対面での参加がやむを得ずできない場合は、コーディネーターに連絡すること。連絡先は下記参照。
・第２回以降の授業形態（対面／ハイブリッド／オンデマンド配信等）については、第１回にてアナウンスする。
医療は我々に非常に身近であり、誰にでも必要なものですが、意外と知られていないことも数多くあります。例えば、「日本に病院はどのくらいあるのか」、「日本の医療費はどのくらいか」、「医療保険の種類には何があるのか」などについて自信を持って回答できるでしょうか。そのような身近な疑問に答えられるように、医療資源や医療費の現状や医療・保健分野の制度（仕組み）を理解しながら、医療経済学の基礎理論を講義します。医療現場で働く皆さんにとって医療・保健分野における制度の理解は必修といえるでしょう。また、身近な経済用語や基礎的な経済理論についても講義します。
講義では、より理解を深めるためにそれぞれの課題に対応する図表（統計データ）を数多く提示し、必要に応じて関連資料を配布します
Medical care is very familiar to us and is necessary for everyone, but there are many things that are surprisingly unknown. For example, can you confidently answer "how many hospitals are there in Japan", "how much is the medical expenses in Japan", "what are the types of medical insurance"? In order to answer such familiar questions, we will give a lecture on the basic theory of health economics while understanding the current state of medical resources and medical expenses and the system (mechanism) in the medical and health fields. Understanding the system in the medical and health fields is a must for everyone working in the medical field. We will also give lectures on familiar economic terms and basic economic theories.
