統計データから見る日本の医療 Japanese Health Care seen from Statistical Data
医療は我々に非常に身近であり、誰にでも必要なものですが、意外と知られていないことも数多くあります。例えば、「日本に病院はどのくらいあるのか」、「日本の医療費はどのくらいか」、「医療保険の種類には何があるのか」などについて自信を持って回答できるでしょうか。そのような身近な疑問に答えられるように、医療資源や医療費の現状や医療・保健分野の制度（仕組み）を理解しながら、医療経済学の基礎理論を講義します。医療現場で働く皆さんにとって医療・保健分野における制度の理解は必修といえるでしょう。また、身近な経済用語や基礎的な経済理論についても講義します。
講義では、より理解を深めるためにそれぞれの課題に対応する図表（統計データ）を数多く提示し、必要に応じて関連資料を配布します
Medical care is very familiar to us and is necessary for everyone, but there are many things that are surprisingly unknown. For example, can you confidently answer "how many hospitals are there in Japan", "how much is the medical expenses in Japan", "what are the types of medical insurance"? In order to answer such familiar questions, we will give a lecture on the basic theory of health economics while understanding the current state of medical resources and medical expenses and the system (mechanism) in the medical and health fields. Understanding the system in the medical and health fields is a must for everyone working in the medical field. We will also give lectures on familiar economic terms and basic economic theories.

第１回 【ガイダンス・基礎的な経済用語】Basic Economic Terms
講義概要を説明する。また、GDPや経済成長率など基礎的な経済用語を確認する。
Explain the outline of the lecture. Also, check basic economic terms
such as GDP and economic growth rate.
第２回 【経済学の基礎理論（市場機構）】Basic Theory of Economics (Market Mechanism)
価格メカニズムについて理解する。
Understand the pricing mechanism.
第３回 【経済学の基礎理論（消費者理論）】Basic Theory of Economics (Consumer Theory)
無差別曲線、予算線などを説明し、最適消費点について理解する。
Explain the indifference curve, etc. and understand the optimum consumption point.
第４回 【日本の人口と疾病構造】Japanese Population and Disease Structure
日本の人口や世帯、死因、平均寿命などを確認し、問題点を考察する。

診療報酬制度の概要を理解し、近年の改定について理解する。

医療保険の種類や保険料について理解する。
Understand the types of medical insurance and premiums.
第７回 【医療保険制度②】Care Insurance System, No.2
高額療養費や出産育児一時金などの医療保険を使う上での知識を習得する。
Acquire knowledge on using medical insurance such as High-Cost Medical Expense

第８回 【国民医療費】National Health Expenditure
国民医療費の概要を説明し、国民医療費の現状と推移について理解する。
Explain the outline of national medical expenses and understand the current
situation and transition of national medical expenses.
総合的理解は期末レポートで評価する。また、毎回のペーパーの提出も評価に加味する。
（期末レポート：80％程度 ペーパーの提出等：20％程度）

日本経済や医療制度の現状や変化を知るためにも、毎日新聞を読むこと（予習）。授業終了後は、授業の内容をまとめたうえで、取り上げたテーマを過去の新聞記事から探すこと（復習）。
Read the Mainichi Shimbun to learn about the current situation and changes in the Japanese economy and medical system before the class starts.
After class, summarize the content of the class and search for themes covered in past newspaper articles.
