戦争、災害、性暴力などさまざま「災い」の暴力を受け心的外傷を得た当事者（以後被災者という）が、災いそのものについて語るのは簡単ではない。被災者は無力化と他者からの離断によって声を奪われる。被災者の孤立した生の記憶媒体として、あるいは彼/彼女の声を受けとめる場として、文学や芸術が存在してきた。この講義では、戯曲『トロイ戦争は起こらない』の通読を縦軸に、被災と語りについての参考文献読解を横軸に、文学作品のなかに被災者の語りを読むための知的基盤を得ることを目指す。/ Victims who have suffered psychological trauma due to various "calamities" such as war, disasters, and sexual violence find it difficult to speak about their experiences. These survivors are silenced by disempowerment and alienation from others. Literature and art have existed as mediums for recording isolated lives of survivors or as spaces to acknowledge their voices. In this lecture, the aim is to gain an intellectual foundation for reading the narratives of survivors within literary works, with a vertical axis of reading through the play "La Guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu (The Trojan War Will Not Take Place)" and a horizontal axis of interpreting reference materials about survivorship and storytelling.
本講義では、1940年代後半から1960年代までの日本文学の諸相について、冷戦期という歴史的観点を交えて検討する。授業では太宰治、安部公房、三島由紀夫、大江健三郎、寺山修司などのテクストを、社会的・文化的な文脈を視野に入れて読み解くことを通して、文学と時代との多様な関係を考察する。
This lecture will examine various aspects of Japanese literature from the late 1940s to the 1960s, including the historical perspective of the Cold War period. The lecture will examine the diverse relationships between literature and the times through readings of texts by Dazai Osamu, Abe Kobo, Mishima Yukio, Oe Kenzaburo, Terayama Shuji, and others, taking into account their social and cultural contexts.
東日本大震災から13年が経過したが、地震、津波、原子力といった複合災害に見舞われた福島県においては、沿岸部の一部で未だに避難指示が継続している等復興はまだ道半ばであり、加えて震災から長い時間が経過したからこそ浮かび上がってきた課題も数多く存在している。一方で、全ての市町村において少なくとも一部地域で避難指示が解除され、全市町村で帰還・居住が可能となる等明るい兆しも見えてきている。また、イノベーションコースト構想や福島国際研究教育機構等、「創造的復興」と呼ばれる新たな取り組みが行われている一方で、被災した地域の人口は震災前と比較して非常に少なく、多くの住民が被災地域外で生活している。
我々東北大学においては、地域や人々に起きたことの検証のみではなく、その課題の解決に向けて、あるいは単純な復旧のみではなく、地域の新たな未来の創造を目指して、様々な取り組みが行われている。
本講座では、まさに現在進行形の課題、すなわちカレント・トピックである福島の原子力災害被災地の現状と課題、そしてその復興・再生に向けた取り組みについて、工学・農学・生物学・政治学・人類学等文理両面に跨り、被災地・被災者やコミュニティの課題から、自治体や国の政策に至るまで、複眼的視野を涵養するにふさわしい幅広い視点から学ぶ。福島に縁の深い学生も、福島のことをほとんど知らない学生も、福島の今と復興・再生への取り組みを一緒に学び、まずは「知る復興」から福島の復興にかかわってほしい。そして、本講義をきっかけに、「地元の大学だからこそできることは何か。」、「13年が経った今だからこそできることはないか。」を学生一人一人が考えるきっかけにしてほしい。
More than thirteen years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. In Fukushima Prefecture, reconstruction is still halfway through, with evacuation orders still in place in some coastal areas, and many issues have just begun to emerge. On the other hand, there are some positive signs, such as the lifting of evacuation orders in some areas of Futaba-machi at the end of August 2022, which means that now in every evacuated municipality people are allowed to return and restart a living. In addition, while new initiatives called "creative reconstruction" such as the Innovation Coast Initiative and the Fukushima Institute for Research, Education and Innovation (F-REI) are being carried out, the population of the affected areas is still very small compared to before the earthquake and many “former” residents live outside the affected area.
We at Tohoku University are not only examining what has happened to the region and its people, but various efforts are being made to resolve the issues, and to create a new future for the region, rather than simply restoring it.
In this seminar, we will discuss the current situation and challenges of the areas affected by the nuclear disaster in Fukushima, and the efforts for reconstruction and revitalization of these areas and as such investigate “Fukushima” as a current topic. The course will cover a wide range of perspectives appropriate for cultivating multifaceted viewpoints, from the progress and challenges of the disaster-stricken areas and communities to the policies of local and national governments, as seen from various academic disciplines, including engineering, agriculture, biology, political science, and anthropology. We hope that both students with deep ties to Fukushima and students who know little about Fukushima will learn together about the current situation and the efforts for reconstruction and revitalization and get involved in the recovery of Fukushima connecting to the idea of "recovery through knowledge". We hope that this lecture will be an opportunity for students to ask themselves questions such as, "What can we do as a local university? and "What can we do now that 13 years have passed? I hope that this lecture will be an opportunity for each and every student to think about what we can do to contribute to the recovery of Fukushima.
数値によるデータ分析は、人文社会科学を含めた多くの学問分野で基本的な研究手法の一つです。しかし、たとえば人間の生について、すべてを数値に置き換えることはできません。複雑な背景をもつ個人や社会を大づかみにとらえる際に単純化・抽象化の作業は有効ですが、複雑なものを複雑なままに受け止めることが必要な場合もあります。ライフストーリーもしくはライフヒストリー研究などの質的研究は、数量データとしばしば対置される「物語（ナラティブ）」に主眼をおくもので、量的研究としばしば対比されます。生きられた物語（身の上話、生活史）だけでなく、虚構の物語もまた、私たちの生活において大きなリアリティを持っており、その具体性・個別性・細部こそが質的データであるといえる。とはいえ、数量データと物語とは、単にそれぞれの専門家が別々に取り組むのではなく、両方の手法のメリットと限界を知り、境界線上に立って複雑な社会を見つめる視野を持つことは重要だろう。この授業でははじめに、「エビデンス」をめぐる学界の動向、エビデンス主義への批判や質的研究の課題とされてこと等について講義する。続いて、生活史、戦争、環境問題など具体的なトピックについて、数量データと物語の可能性と限界を考察するため、文献講読を行う。
人文系の学生と理系の学生が共存する情報科学研究科の環境を生かし、ディスカッション形式で学ぶことにも重きをおく。
この授業では、集合的記憶や社会的記憶の視点から、アジアでの戦争を巡る資料や議論を輪読し、分析する。アジアの各地域で戦争がどのように体験され記憶されてきたかを知り、地域間の比較を通して記憶と社会の関係や、記憶それ自体の性質を探究する。
本年度は、戦争記憶研究の流れを概観する。まず、1980年代以降の「言語論的転回」に関する論文を取り上げ、現在につながる記憶研究の画期にどのような議論があったのかについてを学ぶ。その上で言語論的転回以降に注目されるようになった「集合的記憶」、「文化的記憶」、「ポストメモリー」などの概念に関する資料を読んでいく。これらは主にヨーロッパから始まった議論であることから、講義の後半ではアジアや中東を対象とした戦争記憶の諸問題を取り上げ、アジアの視点からこれらの概念を捉えなおす試みをする。
受講生には、現在の戦争記憶を巡る研究が、如何なる記憶論の流れの中にあり、それが今どのような展開をしているのかを理解し、欧米の議論をアジアの視点で捉えなおすことで、アジアの歴史や社会・自然環境を土台とした歴史観や記憶論を生み出す可能性を、それぞれの関心を踏まえて探究してもらいたい。
私たちの社会は、自然災害の多発化や被害の激甚化・多様化によって、災害といかに共生するかが重要な課題となりつつあります。その際参考になるのが、過去の災害における被災や復興の経験です。
とくに東日本大震災の被災地では、「自分と同じ目にあってほしくない」といった思いから、被災や復興の経験を伝承し、発信する取り組みが活発に行われてきました。しかしながら被災地の現状をみると、時間の経過とともに記憶の風化や被災者の高齢化が進んでおり、現在進行形で復興の課題も存在しています。
そこでこの授業では、東日本大震災の被災地が経験してきた課題について学ぶとともに、それらを伝承・発信する企画を計画し、災害と共生する社会づくりに寄与することを目的とします。
対象地域は、東日本大震災の津波被災地、福島第一原発事故被災地などを予定しています。
How to coexist with disasters is becoming an important issue in our society as natural disasters become more frequent and the damage more severe and multilayered, In this context, the experiences of past disasters and recovery efforts can be helpful.
Particularly in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, there have been active efforts to pass on and disseminate the experiences of the disaster and recovery, because people do not want others to suffer the same fate as they did. However, looking at the current situation in the affected areas, as time goes by, memories are fading and those who survived the disaster are getting older, and there are still ongoing reconstruction issues.
Therefore, the purpose of this class is to learn about the issues that the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake have experienced and to plan a project to pass on and disseminate these experiences, thereby contributing to the creation of a society that can live in harmony with disasters.
The target areas will include the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and the areas affected by the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident.
病いの語り（illness narrative）研究とは、主に社会学と人類学において1980年代以降に発展してきた患者経験の研究の総称である。その焦点は、病いや痛み、苦悩の経験を言葉によって意味づけていく側面に着目しつつ、本人が自らの病いをどのように捉え、それにどう対処しようとしているのかを明らかにすることにある。本講義では病いの語り研究の古典の一つであるアーサー・W・フランクの『傷ついた物語の語り手――身体・病い・倫理』を取り上げ、その後の論争や関係する経験的研究を検討しつつ、その可能性と課題を検討する。

・授業科目の目的・概要
都市や地域の形成過程の探究や実態分析を通じて、現場を理解する方法論を学ぶ。基本は現場に身を置くことだが、関連する論文や既往研究を読んで、論証するとはどういうことかを学んで欲しい。主に東日本大震災後の現場を対象としながら、災後と日常の関係を考えることに力点を置く。
現場において重要なことは自分が考えるに値すると考える問いをもつことだ。その問いを抱いて、講義後も考え続けることは、いずれ皆さんが現場に立つときの実践において役立つ。
・達成目標
当日の議論、事前の準備、事後の振り返りを通じて、都市や地域のデザインについての、自分の論点や態度を考えてもらいたい。
また、建築学や都市工学分野における査読論文の執筆能力の習得を目指す。
基本的に対面講義だが、オンラインとなる場合はGoogle MeetかZoomを使用する。実施方法、接続先URLはGoogle Classroomで通知する予定。

・Course Objectives and Outline
Learn methodologies for understanding the actual situation through exploration and analysis of the formation process of cities and regions. The basics are to put yourself in the field, but I also want you to read related papers and past research and learn what it means to make an argument. Focusing primarily on the sites following the Great East Japan Earthquake, we place emphasis on considering the relationship between post-disaster and everyday life.
What is important in the field is to ask questions that you think are worth thinking about. Having that question in mind and continuing to think about it after the lecture will help you in your practice when you are in the field.
・Achievement Goal
Through the discussion in the class, preparations before the event, and reflection after the event, I would like you to think about your own issues and attitudes regarding urban and territorial design.
In addition, we aim to acquire the ability to write peer-reviewed papers in the fields of architecture and urban engineering.
