社会調査に関する基本的な理解をふまえて、社会学的フィールドワークの方法、とくにインタビュー、質問紙法、モノグラフ的方法などについて学ぶ。実際のリサーチの準備、企画、デザイン、実査、解析などに参加すると同時に、研究と社会、専門家と協力者の関係、著述、表象、権力といった問題について考察し、調査倫理、研究倫理について理解を深める。
本年度は、岡田が主たる担当となり、寄付・ボランティア活動に関わるフィールドワークを予定している。
・Google Classroomを用いて、情報の共有を行う。クラスコードは別途アナウンスする。
・対面での授業を基本とし、状況に応じて、オンライン参加も可とする。
・学部におけるフィールドワーク経験、あるいは「フィールドワーク論（前期）」の受講を履修条件とする。
社会学における質的方法の理論と方法について、より深く学ぶ。参加者はオリジナル教材を読み、資料収集、日常観察、フィールドノーツなどの実践を試みることで、理解を深める。その基礎のうえにたって、モダンバージョンの理論・方法とポストモダンバージョンの理論・方法とのちがいについて学び、新しい基準、倫理なども理解する。
In this course, students will learn methods and theories in sociological qualitative inquiry in deeper meaning, and understand them through reading texts, and some practice of documents collection, observation of everyday life, and writing fieldnotes. On this ground, students will learn the difference between the modern version and the post-modern version of qualitative inquiry, and understand new criteria, ethics, and responsibilities as a researcher.

外国語教育における実証研究は、研究デザインから分析結果の報告に至るまで科学的な手法に沿って行われます。そして実証研究論文では、実験方法、実験参加者、実験手続きなどの詳細を研究結果とともに詳しく報告する必要があります。この授業では、外国語教員を目指す学生だけではなく言語学分野における実証研究を行うことを予定している学生を対象に、実証研究を行う上での基本的な知識を習得した上で、研究デザインの作成、データの分析、結果の報告のし方を学びます。
Empirical research in foreign language education follows scientific methods, from research design to data collection, to reporting the results of the analysis. When producing an empirical research paper, the researcher should elaborate the rationale, the methodology including instrumentation, sampling, data collection, and data analysis. In this course, students who plan to conduct empirical research in the field of linguistics as well as students aiming to become foreign language teachers will learn how to design the research, analyze data, and report the results after acquiring basic knowledge for conducting empirical research.
この授業では、行動科学の研究に必要なリテラシーを身につけることを目指す。このリテラシーとは、文献探索、スライド作成、論文・レポートの作成技術を指す。また、社会科学の中で行動科学と連携が期待される質的調査の技法についても取り扱う。
The aims of this course is to provide students with the literacy necessary to conduct research of the behavioral sciences. This literacy refers to the techniques of reference search, preparation, and writing papers and reports. The course will also deal with qualitative research techniques that are expected to be linked to behavioral science in the social sciences.
