This course gives useful advices to graduate students for the field of international environmental resource
policy research based on broad viewpoint. The aims of this course are to master research methodologies and improve presentation skills. Students are expected to make their own research backgrounds, issues and goals clearer.

本授業では、資源環境経済を対象とした文献をもとに質疑応答をおこない、研究対象とする課題とその研究方法を理解することを目的とする。
In this class, every student is requested to give a presentation based on the adopted textbook and its related papers in the class and also discuss his or her presentation to understand objects and methods of research.
資源環境経済学にかかわる英文(学術論文、国際機関の報告書、雑誌記事等)を読み、翻訳を行うことで、英文読解のポイントを学びつつ、英文の内容をわかりやすく他人に伝える技術を学ぶ。
By reading and translating English sentences related to resource and environmental economics (academic papers, reports of international organizations, magazine articles, etc.), students learn skills for reading English and showing others the sentence meanings clearly.

Every student is requested to give a presentation in the class once or twice per semester. When a student is appointed as a reporter, he or she must prepare a handout of report based on his or her own research topics and their related papers. Presentation is welcomed to have use of slides written by, for instance, Power-point program.
