外部講師の講義とグループ作業などを取り入れて、最新の地球規模課題の実態と課題を理解し、解決方法について議論する。
In this lecture, we will deepen our understanding of the SDGs by giving specific examples of how stakeholders should collaborate and co-create to build a sustainable society, economy, and environmental systems.
Through special lectures and group work, students will gain an understanding of the actual situation and challenges faced by global issues. And they will also discuss how to solve them.
エネルギー問題や資源問題など、人間社会の持続可能性に関わる諸課題について、学際的な観点から基礎的な知識を習得することを目的とする。本学環境科学研究科の教員が中心となり、輪講形式で最新の話題提供を行う。
The purpose of this subject is to acquire basic knowledge about various issues related with the social sustainability, such as energy and resources. Faculty members of graduate school of environmental studies give lectures including the latest topics in omnibus style.
国内外における廃棄物発生と適正処理、資源循環の実態と課題を、最新の事例を用いながら各国の国民性、環境意識の違いなどを考慮しながら考察してみる。また、廃プラスチック、容器包装、自動車等を事例に、越境環境問題と国際資源循環、廃棄物処理方法とリサイクル技術の格差、環境政策有無が与える影響、持続可能な社会づくり、リスク管理の重要性などについて説明する。
In this course, students will understand waste generation and proper disposal, actual situation and resources recycling issues in Japan and overseas, through current trend. And one of the aims of this course is to consider the difference of environmental awareness and national character in waste management and recycling system.
In addition, this class will set up several topics such as plastic waste, End-of-life Vehicles, containers and Packaging and so on. These are explained on international resource recycling and cross-border environmental issues, which are influenced by differences between advanced country and developing country, the disparity of disposal method and recycle technology, with or without environmental policy an importance of a sustainable society and risk management.

この講座の目的は、社会科学のさまざまな理論を駆使して、グローバルガバナンスと持続可能な開発への理解を深めることにある。とくにSDGs（Sustainable Development Goals持続可能な開発目標）に関心を向けながら、これらへの理解を深めることにある。SDGsとは国連が掲げるグローバルな目標であり、これの中心的な要素が「グローバルガバナンス」「持続可能な開発」といったテーマにほかならない。これらのテーマは、市場経済、社会福祉、地球環境、平和・安全保障などの問題と密接に関連している。この講座では、政治学や国際関係論のコンセプトや理論をつかって、これらの問題を捉えていく。
The aim of this course is to gain comprehensive knowledge of global governance and sustainable development by using various theories of the social sciences. In particular, the aim is to gain such knowledge while paying special attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — the goals for the global community set by the United Nations. The central elements of the SDGs include global governance and sustainable development, and the latter two notions are associated with issues such as the market economy, social welfare, the global environment, peace and security. This course sheds light on various aspects of these issues by utilizing analytical concepts and theories used in the fields of Political Science and International Relations.
エネルギー資源の持続可能性を維持する上で科学技術が欠かせない。また、多様なエネルギーの中で、原子力を学ぶ機会は少ない。そこで、本講義では、エネルギーの中で発電から放射線治療まで活用の広がる原子力に着目し、その科学技術との関係について整理するとともに、現代社会におけるエネルギーと資源の位置づけ、そして現代社会の持続可能性についての理解を含めることを目的とする。
Science and technology are essential in maintaining the sustainability of energy resources. Among the various types of energy, there are few opportunities to learn about nuclear energy. In this lecture, we will focus on nuclear energy, whose application ranges from power generation to radiotherapy, and we will discuss its relationship with science and technology to deepen understanding of the energy, resource, and sustainability of the present society.
持続可能性をキーワードとして21世紀の農学が挑戦する課題について学びます。授業では主にグループワークを行います。グループごとに、①食料、②資源・環境、③技術革新、④地域社会のうちから具体的なテーマを設定します。農業政策やその政策手段（財政など）を中心に、グループ内でディスカッションを重ねながらプレゼンテーション資料を作成します。最後に発表会を行います。
授業は、8月26日～28日の3日間の集中講義で行います。
The object of class is to learn about issues of agriculture in the 21st century from the sustainability perspective. The class mainly involves group work. Each group selects a specific theme from the following: (1) food, (2) resource and environment, (3) technological innovation, and (4) local community. Each group does group work and make presentation materials, focusing on agricultural policy and policy measures (such as budgetary measures). At the end of the class, each group presents results.
The Class will be held for 3 days from August 26th to 28th.
国連はSDGs-5「ジェンダー平等の実現」を掲げている。本授業ではジェンダー平等の今とその課題を学術的観点で俯瞰し、ジェンダーが共生する持続的な社会を拓き、創生するための知見・認識を共有することを目的とする。

In order to develop awareness for coming gender co-creative and equity-fair society in the global wide, various contemporary gender issues in the present human living are discussed in academic viewpoints.
環境問題の中でも特に地球温暖化問題，ごみ問題の基礎知識や研究事例を紹介するとともに，国連による持続可能な開発目標(SDGs)を紹介する．また，これらに関連する意思決定として，異時点間の選択やリスクマネジメントの基礎知識を紹介し，持続可能な開発について理解を深めることを目的とする．
The course offers an introduction to global warming, waste management, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to understand the relationship between daily life and the environment. This course also offers an outline of intertemporal choice and risk management to deepen understanding of sustainable development.
