2セメ自然科学総合実験(実験への導入)、4セメ物理学実験I(物理学基礎実験)、5セメ物理学実験Ⅱ(もう少し深い立場からの基礎実験)に続き、本実験授業では、今までの実験の知識と技術をもとに研究への導入となる実験を行う。物理学における実験の役割を学ぶ。
Based on basic knowledge of physics, students experience introductory experiments of leading researches and deepen understanding of importance of experiments in modern physics.
物理学に於いて必要な基礎技術を中心とした基礎的実験を行うことにより、物理学の基本的概念及び基礎事項を学ぶ。
The purpose of this course is to learn techniques of introductory experimental physics and to understand basic concepts of physics by hands-on experience.
物質の究極的な基本構成要素である素粒子の性質や,それにはたらく相互作用を理解する.
これらを出発点に,物質像の統一的な理解や宇宙進化を解明する事ができる.
本講義では,実験・理論が密接に絡み合って進展してきた素粒子物理学を概説する.
授業では,現在の到達点・今後の課題について,実験的側面に重点を置いて説明する.
Understand the properties of elementary particles and their interactions, which are the ultimate basic constituents of matter.
Starting from these points, we reach understanding of the universe.
In this lecture, we will give an overview of elementary particle physics, which has developed through the close intertwining of experiments and theories.
In class, we will explain the current and future particle physics with emphasis on experimental aspects.
現代の素粒子物理学の研究には2つの方法がある。1つは大強度または高エネルギーの加速器を用いて、高エネルギー状態を調べる方法である。もう一つは、低放射能環境化で極めて稀な現象を通じて素粒子の性質を調べたり、加速器では実現できない高エネルギー状態を作り出す宇宙の天体現象からの信号を調べる非加速器素粒子実験である。本講義では、この非加速器素粒子実験を概説する。
Modern particle physics research can be carried out in two ways: first, by using high-intensity or high-energy accelerators to investigate high-energy states. The other is non-accelerator particle experiments, which investigate the properties of elementary particles through extremely rare phenomena in low-radioactive environments or by examining signals from astronomical phenomena in the Universe that produce high-energy states that cannot be achieved with accelerators. This lecture will give an overview of these non-accelerator particle experiments.
Modern society is closely tied to knowledge of natural science. While a variety of technologies based on natural sciences is beneficial to our daily life, natural sciences and technologies may cause negative influences on the society, for example, environmental pollution and drug-induced suffering. Therefore, the humanities and social sciences students have to study the mechanism of nature and understand natural sciences to have a better perspective on modern and future societies of humankind.
The humanities and social sciences have a variety of academic techniques. On the other hand, natural sciences have a common tool, i.e., experiments. Whereas scientific knowledge is obtained by lectures and textbooks, experiments can be studied only by experience. In this Class, laboratory experiments with 6 themes relevant to modern society are conducted to study mechanism of nature experimentally.
物理定数の測定や電子回路の実習を行う。実験・観測を通じて、地球物理学の基礎をよりよく理解することが第一の目的である。実験のテーマや方法の考案から、実験計画の策定、実験装置系の設計・製作、計測の実施、取得データの解析・考察、レポート作成および中間・最終発表までを、自主的に行い、実験・観測の進め方を実践的に学ぶことが第二の目的である。
The purpose of this course is to provide hands-on training in geophysical experiments and observations. A variety of modern and historical experiments and observations are covered, with emphasis on experimental design, experimental techniques, data acquisition and analysis, scientific communication, and time management.
