この授業では、行動科学の研究に必要なリテラシーを身につけることを目指す。このリテラシーとは、文献探索、スライド作成、論文・レポートの作成技術を指す。また、社会科学の中で行動科学と連携が期待される質的調査の技法についても取り扱う。
The aims of this course is to provide students with the literacy necessary to conduct research of the behavioral sciences. This literacy refers to the techniques of reference search, preparation, and writing papers and reports. The course will also deal with qualitative research techniques that are expected to be linked to behavioral science in the social sciences.
本授業科目では，前期開講の「学問論」で学んだ初級アカデミック・ライティングに関する知識・技能を前提に，学生自身が選択したテーマについて文献に基づく3論構成のレポートを作成します．授業の前半で，受講生はテーマを選び深めるための文献講読に並行して，文理双方の学術論文の実際に触れ，図書館やインターネットを活用した文献探索の技術を身につけます．後半は，自分で選定したテーマに関して，序論・本論・結論を備えたレポートを作成します．この授業では担当者の4名がそれぞれ，学生のレポートに対し採点・コメントし，修正期間を経たのちに再評価するなどきめ細かな指導を行うため，履修登録者の上限は20名程度とします．学部・学年を問わず，アカデミック・ライティングの力を高めたい学生諸君の挑戦を期待しています．
＊本授業科目は，2020年度に全学教育貢献賞を受賞した「大学生のレポート作成入門」の後継科目となります．
In this course, you will write a literature-based report on the self-selected theme, based on the knowledge and experience of academic writing that you learned in the "Introduction to Academic Learning" in the first semester.
After reading the literature to select and deepen the theme of writing, you will write a report on the theme that you have selected in the Introduction- Body-Conclusion format. We look forward to the challenge of students who want to improve their academic writing skills, regardless of their faculty or grade.
インターネットが普及した今日でも、数多くの学術情報誌の中から、自分の研究に必要な科学文献の情報収集を行うことは容易ではない。学術文献はどのようにして出来上がるのか、また多くの科学文献情報の中から自分が必要とする論文情報をいかに迅速に探し出せるか、その概念と技術の習得を目的とする。
Even nowadays when the internet spread, it is not easy to get appropriate information for necessary scientific literatures from many academic journals. This class will help students to understand the concept and methods how to prepare the academic literature and how to find quickly your required article information from a lot of article information.
量的社会調査を実施する上で必要となるさまざまな技法を習得することを目的とする。受講生は社会調査の企画から実査、分析、報告書の作成までの一連の過程を経験する。調査は東北大学の学生を対象にして行う。「東北大学生の生活と意識」を共通のテーマとして設けた上で、受講生の関心に応じてグループを分ける。
This course offers knowledge and skills that are needed to conduct quantitative social surveys. Students experience a set of processes on social surveys, including establishing hypotheses, designing questionnaires, statistical data analysis, and writing a report. The survey will be aimed at students of Tohoku University. The main theme of the survey will be "Life and attitudes of students of Tohoku University."
社会学における質的方法の理論と方法について学ぶ。参加者は教材を読み、資料収集や日常観察などの実践を試みることで、理解を深める。
In this course, students will learn some methods and theories in sociological qualitative inquiry in introductory lectures, and understand them through reading texts, and some practice of documents collection and observation in everyday life.
現代経済学の領域で、以下のような研究遂行上のリテラシー、ノウハウ、具体的な作法について解説する：
（１）経済学研究者としての「こころがまえ」と倫理
（２）研究課題の発見（研究関連情報の収集と整理）
（３）研究成果の発表方法（セミナー、学会発表、国際学術雑誌への投稿の仕方）
In the field of modern economics, the following literacy, know-how, and specific manners for conducting research will be explained.
(1) The "mindset" and ethics of an economics researcher
(2) Identifying research topics (collecting and organizing research-related information)
(3) How to present research results (seminars, conference presentations, submissions to international journals)
社会調査を遂行しておく上で理解しておくべき、調査目的に合った調査企画・設計の方法と、データ蒐集やデータ分析の主要な技法について理解する。基本的な考え方と同時に、現実に遭遇する具体的な問題にどう実際的に対処していくかについても把握する。
This course serves as an advanced course on social surveys. It helps students understand the practical knowledge that should be useful in planning surveys, interviewing, and analyzing survey data.
質的調査手法を実践的に理解し、社会調査の設計から結果の公表までの一連の過程を習得することを目的とする。
社会調査の基本知識・手法を学び、フィールドワーク（聞き取り調査、参与観察、資料収集など）をおこなう。調査データを整理し分析することを通じて、質的調査を遂行する能力を身につける。
The purpose of this course is to gain a practical understanding of qualitative research methods and to master the series of processes from social research design to publication of results. In this class, students learn the basic knowledge and methods of social research, conduct fieldwork (interviews, participant observation, data collection, etc.)
