本授業では、最新の環境政策の理論と実際を概括的に、参加型双方向形式で学びます。具体的には、最初に講師から各トピックに関する基本講義を行い、その上で、①学生は自身の興味関心に合うトピックと論点を選択し、簡単なプレゼン（各人10分～15分程度を想定）にまとめて報告をする。②いくつかのホットトピックと論点（具体的には気候変動国際交渉と、SDGsの２つを予定）に関する政策ゲームを講師が提供し、学生は参加体験する。①②のどちらについても、事後にディスカッションを行い、テーマについての論点を掘り下げていきます。以上の実践的な授業により、体感的に環境政策に対する理解を深め、学生の将来の研究や業務（就職活動を含む。公務員、企業、NPO等）につなげます。
This class aims to provide students with a wide overview of the latest theory and practice of environmental policy in participative and interactive manner. First of all, basic concepts of each issue will be briefly presented by a lecturer in their historical and practical context of environmental policies. Then, 1) students are expected to make a short presentation about their choosing a question of topics, 2) students will experience the exercise of political negotiation games about climate change and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in the class. After that, a lecturer and students will have discussions in each theme. Students can grow deeper understanding on environmental policies through this practical class; and then, they can get a good provision of their future study and job (including job hunting; government/ local government, company, NGO etc).
この講義は対面あるいはオンライン（オンデマンド）で行われる。参加学生にも関心があるトピックに関して積極的に発表してもらい、今後の世界および日本でのエネルギー・環境政策のあり方などについて全員で議論する。また、エネルギー・環境問題に関するビデオ等を見ながら、様々な論点に関して議論もする。温暖化問題、エネルギー問題、大気汚染問題、地球環境問題を中心的なトピックとして、各国が抱える様々な課題について議論する。また、従来の安全保障の考え方が変化していることを世界と日本での具体例をもとに理解する。
There is a newly examined problem of environmental security, such as global warming, but on the other hand, traditional energy security and environmental problems still show its importance. This subject will examine the environmental/energy issues around the world from the socioeconomic perspectives. Lecture will be taken seminar form and positive participation and presentation of all students are expected. In the class, we discuss the challenges each country faces both to mitigate and to adopt to the problems. In addition, we try to understand that the idea of the security has changed over the course of time through the concrete examples in the world.
環境科学研究科は、宮城県、仙台市とそれぞれ連携協力協定を締結している。
本講義では、世界的に喫緊の課題である地球温暖化などの気候変動やプラスチック資源循環等を含めたゴミの減量・リサイクルの推進、環境関連法規など、環境の保全と持続可能な社会の実現に向けた宮城県や仙台市の環境政策に関する現状と課題について学び、環境政策や技術に対する理解を深める。
また講義に加えて、良好な環境づくりに向けた施策の企画検討・意見交換等の演習や、施設見学を通じて、より実践的な知識の習得や、環境課題への対応策を考える力を養う。
The Graduate School of Environmental Studies has had a cooperation agreement with Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City, respectively.
In this lecture, students learn about current status and issues related to environmental policies of Miyagi Prefecture and Sendai City (about climate change such as global warming, promotion of waste reduction and recycling including plastic recycling, and environment-related laws) to achieve environmental conservation and sustainable society, and learn about environmental policies and environmental technologies.
In addition to lectures, this course can help students acquire practical knowledge and develop their ability to think about how to respond to environmental issues through exercise and facility tour.
世界の食料・農業情勢を踏まえつつ、SDGsをめぐる食料・農業問題の所在を把握します。また、種々の国際機関の動向や世界の主要国の農業政策に関して検証し、日本農業をめぐる国際環境と今後の進むべき方向について考察します。
This lecture gives an outline of global food and agricultural production system towards the SDGs as well as current agricultural trends in Japan and the World. And it gives careful consideration to agricultural policies in major industrial countries and international fora in order to examine the surrounding international circumstances and the direction that the Japanese agriculture should move towards.

本講義の目的は、環境問題を分析するための経済学の基礎理論を取得することです。
環境経済学は、ミクロ経済学の応用分野の一つです。このため、ミクロ経済学の知識を前提とて講義を進めます。ミクロ経済学の復習用に、講義ノート１～５.PDFを添付しているので、忘れてしまった人やミクロ経済学を勉強したことのない人は事前にこれを読んで、授業に参加してください。

The purpose of this course is to acquire basic knowledge of economic theory to analyze environmental issues.
Environmental economics is one of the applied fields of microeconomics. Therefore, knowledge of microeconomics is assumed in the lectures. 講義ノート1-5.PDF is attached for review of microeconomics. Those who have forgotten or have never studied microeconomics should read them before the course.
