「何が善いことで、何が悪いことなのか」「善悪など人それぞれではないのか」「そもそもなぜ善いことをしなくてはいけないのか」「幸福とは何か」「道徳と幸福にはどんな関係があるのか」「生きることに何の意味があるのか」……。こうした、人間の生き方の価値をめぐって生じるさまざまな問題について、できるかぎり明確に、理論的に答えようとするのが倫理学です。
この講義を受講することで、現代倫理学の基礎知識や、そこで用いられる（やはり基礎的な）思考法についてひととおり学ぶことができます。ただし「現代」倫理学に特化しますので、倫理学史的な側面については必要な範囲で触れるにとどまります。また、理論的な問題に特化しますので、いわゆる応用倫理学の問題については事例として簡単に挙げる程度です（事例としては動物倫理に関連することを多く用います）。

These lectures will provide an introduction to ethics. Topics covered will include normative ethics, metaethics, happiness and the meaning of life; contemporary debates on justice; relation between morality and religion.
応用倫理学では、理論だけではなく、社会問題が起きている現場のリアリティを学びながら、「私たちはどう行動すべきか」を検討しなければなりません。本講義では、ジェンダー/セクシュアリティをテーマに挙げ、社会問題の背景にある歴史的文脈・社会構造を学びながら、倫理的考察を進める方法を学びます。狭義の倫理学の知識だけではなく、社会学、心理学、歴史学等の知見を援用しながら、授業を進めます。
本講義はケーススタディを行います。センシティブなテーマも扱うので、受講する前に必ず内容を確認して、慎重に判断してください。
In applied ethics, we must examine "how we should act" while learning not only theory but also the reality of the field where ethical conflicts are arising. This course highlights one of the most controversial topics of our time, gender/sexuality, and promotes ethical reflection while studying the historical context and social structure behind social conflicts. The course will not only focus on knowledge of ethics in the narrow sense, but will also refer to findings from sociology, psychology, history and other disciplines.
This lecture will be based on case studies. I will also deal with sensitive topics, so please be sure to check the content and make a careful decision before attending the course.
倫理学は「善い人」になるための学問ではありません。人間の行為はどのように正当化されるのかを学び、道徳の多様性を学ぶことが倫理学の目的です。本講義では、現代の人々の倫理観の多様性に触れ、基礎的な倫理思想の理論とその背景を学びます。
世界中に多種多様な倫理思想がありますが、本講義は西洋で多用される理論を中心に紹介します。残念ながら全てを網羅することは難しく、アジア、アフリカ、中東、南米等の倫理観には言及できませんが、倫理思想を研究する足がかりの第一歩として、西洋倫理思想を学んでいきます。
本講義はケーススタディを行います。私はセンシティブなテーマも扱うので、受講する前に必ず内容を確認して、慎重に判断してください。
Ethics is not the study of being a 'good person'. The purpose of ethics is to study how human actions are justified and to study the diversity of morality. In this lecture, you will be exposed to the diversity of ethics among people today and learn about the theory and background of basic ethical ideas.
Although there is a wide variety of ethical thought around the world, this lecture will focus on theories frequently used in the West. Unfortunately, it is difficult to cover all of them, and we cannot mention ethics from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America, etc. However, we will study Western ethical thought as a first step towards a study of ethic.
This lecture will involve case studies. I will also cover sensitive topics, so please be sure to check the content and make a careful decision before taking the course.
倫理学の醍醐味の一つは、道徳や幸福についてたんに意見を言うことではなく、そうした意見を根拠とともに主張したり、その根拠を吟味したりすることにあります。偉大な倫理学者たちが偉大なのにはさまざまな理由がありますが、その一つは、その人たちがしっかりした議論を作り、常識的な前提から、否定しがたいステップで、とてつもない帰結を引き出したりしたことに求めることができるでしょう。この演習では、プラトン以来の西洋倫理学史を、倫理学者たちのテキストから議論を再構成することを通じて学びます。
最初の数回で論証の再構成の仕方を学び、あとはひたすら倫理学者たちのテキストから論証を再構成していきます。たびたび課題を出しますので、演習の前に提出し、演習で素材として提示してください。それをもとに、みなで論証を検討していきます。
In this seminar, we will learn the history of Western ethics since Plato through reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. In the first sessions, we will learn how to reconstruct arguments, and after that we will work on reconstructing arguments from the texts of the great moral philosophers. Assignments are frequent. Active participation is required.

フランス語の歴史をその起源から学び、また現代世界におけるその広がりについて学びます。
指定された教科書（Mireille Huchon, Histoire de la langue française, Paris, Le Livre de poche, 2002）を基に、フランス語の起源から今日におけるまでの歴史を概観します。同時に仏文解釈の練習も行います。
前期・後期を別々に受講することも可能ですが、両方を受講することで理解がより深まります。
