This class aims to introduce the grammar of classical Sanskrit for the students with no prior knowledge of this influential language. Sanskrit is the sacred language of Indian religions and forms the basis of the South Asian cultures. It is important to learn this language to better understand these religions and cultures. This lecture will provide an overview of primary Sanskrit grammar for the purpose of translating classical Sanskrit literature.

This course is a lecture on Classical Sanskrit Grammar for beginners. Sanskrit is the scriptural language of the various Indian religions and forms the basis of South Asian culture. It is essential knowledge for a better understanding of the religions and cultures of the region. This lecture will provide an overview of Sanskrit grammar in order to translate Classical Sanskrit literature.
ランマンの『サンスクリット読本』をテキストとして平易なサンスクリット文の読解演習を行い，サンスクリット語文法・語彙の理解を深める。テキストの語彙集・注記のほか，ホイットニーの文法書を適宜参照しながら読み進める。インド古典文学の理解のため，随時，古代インド文化の概説を行う。
In this class, we aims to deepen our understanding of Sanskrit grammar and vocabulary through reading texts in Lanman's "A Sanskrit Reader." We will read as much as possible by referring to Whitney's "Sanskrit Grammar" as well as the textbook's glossary and explanatory notes. And then we outline ancient Indian culture for an understanding of classical Sanskrit literature.

In this course, students will read Chandogya-Upanisad VI. The course provides students with essential discipline in Indian philology. It also help students learn about grammar, vocabulary, and syntax of Sanskrit as well as the Veda.

In this course, students will read Satapatha-Brahmana I 6,3. The course provides students with essential discipline in Indian philology. It also help students learn about grammar, vocabulary, and syntax of Sanskrit as well as the Veda.
英語の音声と文法に関する基本的現象が現代言語学の観点からどのように分析されるのを解説し、英語学における基本概念や論証の仕方を理解してもらう。また、英語の歴史的変遷や他の言語との違いを解説することにより、英語という言語の普遍性と特殊性を理解してもらう。
This course is a continuation of Introduction of English Syntax I, focusing on the formal analysis of syntactic structures of English within a framework of Generative Grammar. We will also see the sound system and historical change of English.
「展開ロシア語I」に引き続きロシア文法を学ぶとともに、語形変化に注意しつつ文法的意味を確認しながら正確にロシア語の文章を読む訓練をする。また、この授業から徐々に、ロシア文法中で最も理解の難しい文法カテゴリーである動詞の「体」についての学習を始める。
【インターネットおよびスマホに関する注意事項（重要！）】
（１）インターネット上で無償で閲覧できるサイトのロシア語の語彙、音韻、文法に関係する情報には誤ったものが数多くあるが、当然のこととして初級・中級の学習者にはその正否の判別ができない。したがって、本学でのロシア語学習においてはロシア語の単語や文法事項をインターネット上で調べることを禁じる。
（２）特に無償の「オンライン辞書」、「辞書アプリ」、「翻訳アプリ」の類は誤りが極めて多い。しかも単語の語形変化やそれに伴うアクセント移動といったロシア語学習において絶対必要な情報が示されていないので、本学におけるロシア語の授業との関連においてこれらを用いることは絶対にしてはならない。必ず露和辞典を購入し、それを使って調べること。インターネット以外の有償の「電子辞書」の使用は禁じないが、「紙の辞書」の方が文法説明が詳しいので後者を薦める。
（３）以上の理由により、教室での授業中にスマホを扱うことを厳禁する。また、他の授業での必要上タブレットPCやノートPCを教室に持ち込んでいる場合であっても、ロシア語の授業中にインターネットに接続してはならない。
本授業では、中国語学習歴半年以上の学生が、中国語のリスニング、作文、スピーキングなどの演習を通して、中国語によるコミュニケーション能力・表現能力の向上を目指します。（中国語未履修の方は、事前にご相談ください。）
なお、この授業は講読演習を兼ねています。
