Upon completion of Basic Spanish I, this course will help students to acquire basic Spanish language skills and at the same time enhance their understanding of the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
スペイン語はスペインだけでなく、かつてスペインの植民地だったラテンアメリカのほとんどの国で公用語として使われています。また、アメリカ合衆国でもスペイン語話者（ヒスパニック）の数が増えています。英語にスペイン語を加えることで、意思疎通できる人の数、見える世界、行動できる世界は確実に広がります。
スペイン語は音声体系が日本語とほとんど同じなので、日本語話者には学習しやすい言語です。また、英語の学習で培った語彙および文法的知識の多くを流用することができます。英語は苦手だという人も、スペイン語なら、外国語を学習する楽しさをきっと味わえるはずです。
この授業では、日常の簡単な会話が交わせる程度のスペイン語の最低限の文法と語彙を学びます。
＜目的＞
スペイン語は、19カ国以上で使われている言葉であり、約6億人の人が話している言葉です。今日の高度情報社会では、インターネットのない生活は考えられません。インターネットでは3番目に多く使われている言葉でもあります。近年、スペイン語圏に旅行する人が増えていることや、ビジネスチャンスとして世界中でスペイン語を学ぶ人が増えています。スペイン語を学ぶことで、より国際的な視野が広がることが期待できます。この授業では、スペイン語の基礎的運用能力を身につけると同時に、スペイン語圏の文化について理解を進めていきながら、「話す、聞く、読む、書く」のスキルを身に付けていくことを目的としています 。
＜概要＞
基本的な文章の理解や買い物、旅行等の日常でよく使う会話について学び、スペイン語の読み書きができるようになることを目指します。
Spanish is the official language in 20 countries around the world, comprising almost 600 million speakers. In today's highly information-oriented society, life without the internet seems to be unthinkable. In that important context, Spanish is the third most commonly used language on the Internet. By studying Spanish, you can internationally expand your horizons and enlarge your sphere of knowledge and international communication. Besides, the language can unlock a world of travel destination for you too.
Object of Class: this course is designed to provide students with basic knowledge of the Spanish language and culture in Spain and Hispanic countries through a program that lets the students obtain a solid foundation in the language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. For those purposes, the program covers the necessary aspects of grammar, vocabulary, conversation and culture.
Summary of Class: students will be able to read and write basic sentences, understand frequently used phrases and expressions and carry out habitual daily tasks and communication exchanges in Spanish.

正しい文法の知識を身につけるのと同時に、英語と違う点やスペイン語独特の言い回しなどにも触れながら、簡単な会話ができるようになる力をつける授業にしたいと思っています。
The object of this class is to develop the basic ability of Spanish and learn the correct pronunciation of Spanish.
We will learn basic Spanish grammar and how to converse with people in simple Spanish in this class. Occasionally we touch on the difference between Spanish and English or some expressions peculiar to Spanish.
基礎スペイン語Iで学んだ知識を定着させ、更に様々なケースでの意思疎通が図れるようになることを目指します。
正しい文法の知識を身につけるのと同時に、英語と違う点やスペイン語独特の言い回しなどにも触れながら、聞かれる内容に答えるだけではない発信力を身につけてもらいたいと思います。
The object of this class is to have a firm grasp of your Spanish basic knowledge and to be able to communicate with people in a variety of situations.
We will continue to learn basic Spanish grammar and how to converse with people in Spanish. Occasionally we touch on the difference between Spanish and English or some expressions peculiar to Spanish.
You’re expected to be able to not only to give an answer to a question, but also to play an active roll in a conversation.
