「キュアとケア」という言葉を聞いたことがあるだろうか。過去には医療を医師が疾病の治癒を目指して行うキュア、看護師などが療養生活や日常生活を支援するケアに分けて定義されてきた。しかし、現代医療の大いなる進歩とその限界が認識されるにつれ、両者の境界は曖昧になり、現代医療は患者・家族がその人らしく生きることを支援することを指向するようになった。
人は生まれたとき（もしくは生まれる前）から亡くなるまで、ケアと無縁に過ごすことはできない。本講義は古典的な心理学ではなく、ケアと心理という内容について教授する。まず、「ケアとは何か」からスタートし、人の発達段階に沿って誰もが経験しうるケアの場面について医学部保健学科看護学専攻の教員によってリレー講義を行う。
Have you ever heard the term 'cure and care'? In the past, healthcare has been defined as being divided into two categories: cure, where doctors aim to cure illnesses, and care, where nurses and others provide support for recuperation and daily living. However, as the great advances in modern medicine and its limitations have been recognised, the boundaries between the two have blurred and modern medicine has become oriented towards helping patients and their families to live their lives in their own way. People are not free from care from birth (or before birth) until death. This lecture is not about classical psychology, but about the content of care and psychology. Starting with 'What is care', the lecturers from the Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences will relay lectures on care situations that anyone can experience along the developmental stages of a person.
がん患者に対する緩和ケアの発展的内容について講義と演習を行う。治療期における緩和ケア、補完・代替療法、予後告知、家族・遺族ケア、在宅緩和ケアなど、幅広くかつ専門的な講義を行う。また、緩和ケアにおけるがん看護専門看護師の役割について理解を深める。さらに、緩和ケアの高度な実践家となるために理論と研究がどのように関連付けられるかを検討し、緩和ケアの専門的な研究の方法論についても探究する。これらを通して、がん看護における様々な場面において理論を患者・家族への看護ケアに発展させるための方法を習得する。
In this course, students will understand advanced knowledge of palliative nursing. This course cover nursing for palliative care for patients with anti-cancer treatment, complementary and alternative medicine, prognosis, care for family members, bereavement care, home palliative care, role of oncology certified nurse specialist and research in palliative care.
がん看護実践への示唆を与える看護理論や概念について学習し、がんの罹患や治療による影響を受けた個人とその家族への看護介入について学習する。特にがんに直面した時の特徴的な反応や行動に焦点をおき,ストレスに対処しながらQOLを高める予防的・治療的な看護介入について学習する。
Student learn about nursing theories and concepts that have implications for oncology nursing practice and learn about nursing interventions for individuals and families affected by cancer incidence and treatment.Focus on characteristic reactions and behaviors especially when faced with cancer and learn about preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions that increase quality of life while dealing with stress.

家族機能の維持・向上をめざす新たな支援方法の開発を行うために必要な最新の知見および家族支援看護学に関連する諸理論や，がん患者およびその家族の家族支援看護学の定義・家族支援看護学全体における位置づけ等，総論的なことについて教授する。
Students will learn about the recent evidence for the development of methods to support families and theory of family nursing.
緩和ケア看護学セミナーIに引き続き、臨床疑問に基づいた緩和ケア看護学における最新の学術論文を検索し、それを精読することによって、緩和ケアに関する最新のエビデンスを収集する技術およびそれを解釈し、臨床に活用するための方策について学ぶ。これらを通して、がん看護専門看護師としての高度な実践能力を発展させる能力を発展させる。緩和ケア看護学セミナーIIでは、単なる文献精読だけでなく、１つのテーマに沿って関連する論文のレビューや系統的文献検索を行う能力を育成し、一連の論文をガイドライン等と照らし合わせ、緩和ケアの臨床上の位置づけについて理解することを目標とする。
Through literature review and reading; students develop advanced knowledge, advanced skills and critical thinking for literature review so as to provide quality palliative care for end-of-life cancer patients as certified nurse specialists.
家族支援看護学領域において，家族機能の維持・向上をめざす新たな支援方法を開発，検証し，さらに実践的指導者となるために必要な演習を行う。
特にがん患者や家族の特性，環境との相互作用について緩和ケアの対象となる患者・家族も含み，国内外の諸理論を国際的な視点から評価，検証することができ，がん患者とその家族への新たな介入モデルの構築，アセスメントツールの作成と活用に卓越した能力の人材を育成する。
看護の対象となる子どもと家族の相互的，相補的作用に基づく発達理論を基盤に，特に学童期，思春期特有の発達課題とその問題について検証できる能力を養う。さらに英文による最新の子どもの精神障害について抄読するとともに，医療者，子供，家族間の発展的な看護支援方法の分折，評価のできる人材の育成，精神看護学における新たな人間関係論を開発できる人材を育成する。
加えて，学生が関心を寄せる領域の研究課題の明確化，研究方法の妥当性，および研究の到達目標を学生自身が十分検討でき，その研究課題が家族支援看護学の発展に十分寄与できるように指導し，独創的な研究デザインで「家族支援看護学」に新たな知見を加えることができるような能力を育成する。
