日本の地域社会には、推計20億点もの古文書資料が眠っているとされています。1990年代以降は、特に自然災害を契機とする古文書の大量消滅という事態とも重なって、社会全体でそれらを残していこうとする動きが、大きな動きになりつつあります。各地で、歴史や文化財の専門家のみならず、地域住民やボランティアなど幅広い参加を募る形での保全が繰り広げられています。この講義では、活動を具体的に体験学習しつつ基本的な知識や技術を身につけるとともに、だれの、なんのために古文書を残すのかを考えるきっかけとしていければと思います。
なお、この講義では古文書の内容を読む部分もありますが、そうではない部分も多いので、歴史学を専攻しない人、理系の方でも、「古文書という物体」に興味のある方の受講を歓迎します。
Since the 1990s, especially in conjunction with the mass disappearance of archives triggered by natural disasters, a movement to preserve archives has been gaining momentum in Japan's communities. In many places, preservation activities are being conducted not only by specialists in history and cultural properties, but also by local residents and volunteers with broad participation. In this lecture, we hope to provide an opportunity for students to gain basic knowledge and skills through hands-on learning of specific activities, and to think about who and for what purpose they are preserving ancient documents.
In this lecture, there will be some reading of the contents of ancient documents, but there will be many other parts as well, so we welcome those who are interested in the "object of ancient documents," even if they are not history majors or science majors.
この授業では、仙台地域の施設見学や協働作業をとおして、大学では出会う機会の少ない人々と交流をもつことで、現在の日本社会の現状や課題について知り、視野を広げ、個々が国際社会の一員として何ができるのかを考えます。
前半部分は、東日本大震災の経験ややさしい日本語、仙台地域が抱える社会的課題について学びます。後半部分は、実践として、「東日本大震災後のコミュニティ再生プロジェクトへの参加」、「子ども食堂での活動」を行います。最後に活動報告としてグループ発表を行い、持続可能なコミュニティ作りへの提案を行います。
この授業は、国内学生と留学生が日本語を使い学習を行います。さまざまな国・地域の履修生だけでなく仙台地域の人々と交流を行うことで、コミュニケーション能力、協働する能力などを身につけます。
In this class, through visits to Sendai area facilities and collaborative work, students will interact with people they would rarely have the opportunity to meet at university, learn about the current state of Japanese society and its issues, broaden their perspectives, and consider what they can do as members of the international community.
The first half of the course will focus on the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake, easy Japanese, and social issues facing the Sendai area.
In the latter half of the course, the students will participate in a "community revitalization project after the Great East Japan Earthquake" and "activities at a children's cafeteria" as practical examples of their activities. Finally, group presentations will be given as activity reports and proposals for building sustainable communities will be made.
In this class, domestic and international students study together in Japanese. By interacting with students from various backgrounds, students will acquire communication and collaboration skills.
授業担当者が行っている、中世日本国の東西周縁部の比較研究の一端について講義する。前半は、主として東北地方と南九州における歴史認識や正統観念について講ずる。後半は、主として東北地方の歴史資料について論ずる。授業を通して、日本中世の国家構造について理解を深めるとともに、歴史研究の具体的方法について理解する。

The first half of the lecture will focus mainly on historical perceptions and notions of legitimacy in the Tōhoku region and Southern Kyushu. The second half will focus mainly on historical materials of the Tōhoku region. Through the course, students will deepen their understanding of the structure of the Japanese medieval state and the specific methods of historical research.

博物館における資料保存の学史を通してその意義を理解する。また、博物館資料について素材別に適切な保存を行うための知識を身につけ、その方法と技術を学ぶ。さらに守り伝えられた資料によって広がる世界を実感し、調査研究や普及公開への道筋を把握する。特に歴史資料に関し、事前の科学分析、脆弱遺物を対象にした手仕事での保存処理、優先順位をつけての修復、保管方法と保管環境への配慮、展示という学芸員の一連の取り組みの例示や、作業におけるエピソードを通じて、資料保存に対する博物館学芸員としての基本的な知識や技術と特に留意すべき点を、具体的かつ実践的に修得する。
This course is a part of qualification for the curatorial occupation by the Japanese government. The lecture covers essential knowledge concerning appropriate methods and techniques for preservation and conservation of stored materials in the museum. The course also explores a variety of procedures on the part of the curatorial staff, including some philosophical aspects upon historical materials and documents.
本講義では、主としてアーキビストとして必要な知識を習得し、アーカイブズ学の概要を理解することを目的とする。アーカイブズの成り立ちや役割について国内外の事例から理解を深めるとともに、その保存・管理システムを構築するための学問分野であるアーカイブズ学の理論と体系について学び、様々なアーカイブズのあり方について考察する。またアーカイブズの実務に必要となる、評価選別、目録編成、利用審査、利用普及活動などに関する具体的な方法論について知見を深める。その上で、記録の収集、保存、整理公開、利活用の流れを総合的に理解し、知見を深めることを目的とする。

社会福祉の源流として、キリスト教など諸宗教の慈善活動がある。これらの慈善活動そのものは意義深いものであるが、時代性による限界もあって、人権意識や平等性に課題があった。そのような前近代的課題を克服することで、個人の自由を前提とした「社会福祉」が発展した。このような経緯を踏まえて、日本での仏教社会福祉史、バングラデシュの仏教徒と社会福祉活動、⻑岡⻄病院ビハーラ病棟、東日本大震災後の被災者支援活動などを例に、宗教と社会福祉の関係性について考察し、超高齢多死社会となる日本社会において、宗教が果たし得る役割について検討する。
The source of social welfare is the charity activities of various religions, including Christianity. Although these charity activities themselves are significant, they are limited by the times, and there are issues with human rights awareness and equality. By overcoming such pre-modern challenges, "social welfare" based on individual freedom developed. Based on this background, we will consider the relationship between religion and social welfare, using examples such as the history of Buddhist social welfare in Japan, Buddhists and social welfare activities in Bangladesh, the Vihara Ward of Nagaoka Nishi Hospital, and support activities for victims after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and so on. We will examine the role of religion in Japanese society, which is becoming a super-aging death-ridden society.
