The purpose of this class is for students to acquire reading comprehension skills for texts from the Middle Ages onwards, based on fundamental Latin grammar. In class, giving attention and explaining important points in various texts.

For general comprehension for reading, students will develop basic skills through documents of verious era, using basic knowledge of paleography and the essence of Christianity. Through this exercise, students may be able to accept the role of Latin to academic research.

この授業では、受講生が、ラテン語の基礎的文法の仕上げをすることを目的とする。動詞の基本（直説法、現在、能動態）に基づく発展的文法を習得し、ラテン語の文法体系を総合的に理解できるようにする。さらに総合的な読解力のために、さまざまな時代の文献を対象とし、古文書学やキリスト教に関する基本的知識をもとにして、読解する。それにより、学術的研究にラテン語の果たす役割の一端を実感できるであろう。
The aim of this course is to helps students develop entire basic Latin grammar. Students will learn various grammatical rules based on the fundamental understanding(indicative, present, active voice) of verbs, and the Latin grammar system. Furthermore, for general comprehension in reading：students will develop basic skills through documents of various era, using basic knowledge of paleography and the essence of Christianity. Through this exercise, students may be able to accept the role of Latin to academic research.

語学上比較的やさしいラテン語の文章を、文法上の解説を受けながら、ゆっくり丁寧に読んでいきます。テクストの音読、語形変化の練習にも時間を取ります。そうして文法事項を確認・学習し、ラテン語に馴れていきます。
遠慮なく、積極的に質問してください。
読むテクストは、参加者の希望・関心を訊きながら、教員が選定します。ジャンルの異なる複数のテクストを読むことになると思います。
参考までに、過去数年に取り上げたテクストとして、初学者向けに現代人が書いた短い物語、カエサル『ガリア戦記』、キケロ『運命について』、デカルト『省察』、アウグスティヌス『告白』、ルクレティウス『事物の本性について』があります（ゆっくり進みますので、どれも少ししか読めませんでした）。
We shall read a few linguistically easier Latin texts slowly, with the instructor providing detailed grammatical explanations. We shall also practice the inflections or declensions of some words that we come across. Thereby we shall get used to the language, especially grammar. The instructor will decide on what texts to read by considering the attendants' interests.
【目的】中国語学習歴１年以上（中国語を母語とする者を除く）の受講生を対象に、中国語のより高度な読解能力を身につけてもらうことを目的として開講します。
【概要】現代中国語で書かれた随筆や短編小説を取り上げて精読します。それを通して、受講生が、これまでに学んできた中国語の基礎的な文法事項について再確認し、中国文化への理解を深めるとともに、中国語発音のブラッシュアップができるよう促します。授業ではテキストを輪番で音読し、読解しますので、受講生の十分な予習が求められます。なお、この授業は、中国語の講読演習を兼ねています。
【Course Objectives】
This course aims to further improve the students' ability to read contemporary Chinese texts.
【Course Synopsis】
In this course, students read essays or short stories written in modern Chinese. Through reading, students review basic Chinese grammar, deepen knowledge about Chinese culture, and improve Chinese pronunciation. In every class, students are required to read aloud and translate the text into Japanese, therefore sufficient preparation is important.
先ず文法事項の復習と理解確認を兼ねて短い笑話を読み，次にAbhayadattaśrīが著したとされるインド密教行者伝『八十四成就者伝』の訳読を行い，チベット語資料の文献研究に必要な基礎的語学力を養成することを目的とする。但し前期における進度によっては，文法事項の補足を先ず行う場合がある。
In this course, students will translate Grub thob brgyad cu rtsa shiḥi lo rgyus (Hagiography of Eighty four siddhas) by Abhayadattaśrī into Japanese, so that they can get the basic ability of reading classical Tibetan literatures which is necessary for the philological study of Tibetan books.
様々なテーマの文章を題材にして、テキスト理解や関連する文法の練習を行なうことによって、ドイツ語の読解力を養いながら、「基礎ドイツ語」では十分に扱えなかった文法、語彙、表現、発音の練習も行う。
This course aims to improve the students' skills in German fostered in "Basic German" classes and to develop higher-level reading skills by reading texts on various topics and exercising grammar.
