本授業では、本授業は明治期・大正期のジャーナリストや作家に再び焦点を絞り、彼らが内政と外交の両面において、どのように時代状況に対して鋭鋒の筆を振るい、その時代の現実との張りつめた意識的対峙のなかで政治を論評する立場を貫いたのか、などを明らかにし、激動の時代を生きたメディア人の一側面を浮き彫りにさせることを目的とする。
In this lecture, I shall focus once again on journalists and writers in the Meiji Era and the Taisho Era. The objective is to cast in sharp relief one aspect of journalists and writers who lived in turbulent times. This involves clarifying how they wrote critically of the situation at that time of domestic politics and foreign policy, or how they stood fast in their position of making political commentaries amidst the realities and tense conflict of awareness of those times.
「教育」の意味とその本質について歴史的に考察し、人間の成長発達における教育・学校や教師の役割について検討する。さらに、欧米とわが国の教育目的の歴史を分析すると同時に、各時代の教育思想について理解する。
In this lecture, the meaning and essence of "education" will be examined historically, and the roles of education, schools, and teachers in human growth and development will be discussed. Furthermore, we will analyze the history of the purpose of education in Europe, the U.S., and Japan, and at the same time, understand the educational philosophy of each period.
近年の世界政治は、ロシア（ウクライナ侵攻）、中国（戦狼外交）、北朝鮮（核ミサイル実験）、イラン（抗議デモの弾圧）といった権威主義国家による大きな影響を受けています。これに加え、トランプ前大統領（アメリカ）、ボルソナーロ前大統領（ブラジル）といったポピュリスト的政治家による自由民主主義陣営への内部からの影響も顕著です。さらに、ドイツを含むいくつかの国で見られる極右政党のナチスを想起させる行動も問題となっています。
この演習では、これら現代政治の諸問題に焦点を当て、基礎文献を深く読み込み、参加者同士の議論や意見交換を通じて、文献解釈能力、思考力、及び表現力の向上を図り、政治学への興味と関心を高めることを目指します。
近年、東アジア、とりわけ日中関係の政治的緊張は各方面に様々な影響を及ぼしている。
本講義では、現在日中関係の問題の根源を歴史的に遡って考え、政治史・思想史的問題と今日的問題との橋渡しをしたいと考えている。
各時期の日中知識人の「アジア」認識を取り上げながら、19世紀半ばから現在にいたるまでの東アジアの歴史的経緯、およびそこに見られる「アジア」認識の連続性と変容、またその変容の背景と原因を概説する。
さらに、今後一層重要となっていく日中関係の展望と、それの東アジア国際関係における位置づけについても説明を加える。
本授業では、中国語学習歴半年以上の学生が、中国語のリスニング、作文、スピーキングなどの演習を通して、中国語によるコミュニケーション能力・表現能力の向上を目指します。（中国語未履修の方は、事前にご相談ください。）
なお、この授業は講読演習を兼ねています。

江戸時代の思想家である本居宣長は、外来の思想を批判し、日本の伝統的な美的心情としての「もののあはれ」を称揚した。この授業では、「もののあはれ」の日本的特性とは何か、それが他の文化の美意識とどのように異なるのか、を考える。
/MOTOORI Norinaga, a Japanese thinker in the Edo period, criticized foreign philosophies and admired Mono-no-aware as a Japanese traditional aesthetic feeling. In this course, students will think about Japanese Characteristics of Mono-no-aware and its difference from senses of beauty in other cultures.
