本講義は、企業や国などが、株式・公社債等を発行して、必要な資金を証券市場を通じ直接貸し手から調達する直接金融についての理解を深め、当該市場や市場参加者を規制・監督する金融庁等の役割についての知識を習得することを目的とする。特に、欧米に比して利益率が低いとされる家計の金融資産運用の課題や展望について考察していきたい。
The purpose of this lecture is to deepen understanding of direct finance, in which companies and countries issue corporate bonds, stocks, and public bonds to raise necessary funds directly from lenders through securities markets,and to acquire knowledge of the roles of the Financial Services Agency and others that regulate and supervise such markets and market participants.
In particular, we would like to examine the challenges and prospects for households' financial asset management, which is less profitable than in the U.S. and Europe.
本講義では、現在の金融市場に関する基礎的な制度や、家計・企業・金融機関の行動について解説します。特に、皆さんが東北大を卒業してこの厳しい社会を生き抜いていくに当たって、必要な金融知識を身につけることを目標とします。講義の特徴として、現実の金融データを扱う演習を実施します。代わりに理論的分析は弱くなりますので、こちらに興味がある方は来年度浅野先生の講義をお勧めします。
This lecture provides basic knowledge of the current financial market and skills for analyzing the behavior of households, firms, and financial institutions. You will be financially literate to survive in this tough society after graduating from Tohoku University. I will put much emphasis on the programming exercise using real-world financial data. For students interested more in theoretical analysis, I recommend next year's lecture by Professor Asano.

While accounting students generally study the process by which companies disclose financial statements based on accounting standards, they do not have many opportunities to learn about how financial statements work and what consequence they have. Such knowledge of the functions and economic consequences of financial accounting will be significant for us to understand the usefulness of financial accounting and deal with accounting information on practice. The academic research of financial accounting has developed economic theories and examined these theories empirically based on data such as financial statements and stock prices, which are called archival research in financial accounting. In this course, we will review the early research that provided the basis for much of the research to date, with a focus on empirical research in financial accounting and related fields. And then, we will also cover various research topics that have developed and expanded from that research. In the lectures, students will understand the process of hypothesis development based on the research question and theoretical background of each study, and discuss the implications of the empirical analysis results and issues for the future.

1．目的
本講義は，企業等の組織が，社会的価値を生み出すための考え方や戦略を，有価証券報告書や財務情報，公開情報から読み解き，それを基に新たな社会価値を生み出す戦略を立てる力を付けることを目的とする．
2．概要
本講義では，企業等の財務諸表を分析し，諸表上の数値や有価証券報告書情報，その他各種公開データから企業の価値創造戦略をひも解き，社会価値創造の本質や価値を捉える力をつける．また，実企業を対象として，財務諸表的な考え方に基づいて新事業の立案を行う．世界の動きを俯瞰する力，社会の変化を各種データに基づいて分析する力，事象の本質を把握する力，より良い社会にするためのコトづくりと新しい価値を生み出し社会に実装する力を，グループワーク，国内外機関の講師によるワークショップ等も交えながら養っていく．

Objectives:
The purpose of this course is to develop the ability to interpret the strategies of organizations, such as companies, in creating social value. This will be achieved by analyzing financial statements, financial information, and public data from annual securities reports, etc., enabling students to understand the essence and value of social value creation.
Overview:
The course involves analyzing financial statements of companies and unraveling their value creation strategies based on numerical data, annual securities reports, and various public information. Additionally, students will engage in the planning of new business plan based on financial perspectives. The course aims to cultivate skills such as overseeing global developments, analyzing societal changes using various data, grasping the essence of events, and creating new values for a better society. Group work, workshops by experts, and other activities will be integrated into the learning process.
