言語学習はスポーツに似ている。技術論も有用だが，試合が成立する程度の知識を身につけたら，とにかく試合を繰り返してみるのも上達の道である。この授業では，基礎ドイツ語で学んだドイツ語（十分に試合が成立するだけの知識）を使って，ちょうどスポーツの試合のように，実生活上の場面における様々な言語活動を切り取ったタスクに取り組む。タスクに必要な技能は，能動的学習手法を取り入れたトレーニングによって訓練する。タスクとトレーニングを通じて，ドイツ語の自立的な言語使用者となることを目指すとともに，ドイツ語を言語的リソースのひとつとして，様々な言語（母語としての日本語や第一外国語としての英語を含む）を状況に応じて適切に学び使うための複言語能力の向上を目指す。
Language learning is similar to sports. The technical theory is helpful, but once you have acquired enough knowledge to be able to play a match, you can also improve by practicing games. In this class, students perform tasks that capture various speech acts in real-life situations using the German skills learned in Basic German. They prepare the skills required for that in active training. Through the task and training, the students become independent German language users and acquire a linguistic resource to enhance their plurilingual competence to learn and use various languages (including Japanese and English) appropriately in different situations.
１） ドイツの雑誌（週刊誌）や近年の文学作品を読むことを通してドイツ語能力、ドイツ語圏文化の知識を身に着ける。
２） 雑誌記事または近年発表された文学作品を3週間当たり１作品（雑誌記事は２週間当たり１本）ぐらいのペースで読んでいく。
３） 参加者のドイツ語力や関心に合わせて文学作品や雑誌記事の代わりに中・上級の教材を使うこともある
1) Improving German language skills and cultural knowledge through the reading of journal articles and literature.
2) Reading German pieces of literature in 3 weeks, and journal articles in 2 weeks.
3) Depending on the interests and the language skills of participants, the original materials may be replaced by materials from advanced-level textbooks.
