美術作品が有する視覚的特質を歴史および文化の中に位置づけ、作品の意義および価値を提示する能力を身につける。
前期に行うポスター作成をさらに拡大強化し、「空想の展覧会」（フランスの文学者・文化史家アンドレ・マルローの概念に起因する）を企画し、カタログを作成するまでの作業を行う。
Students will acquire the ability to present the significance and value of works of art by placing their v isual qualities in the context of history and culture. They will expand and strengthen the poster creation process of the first semester, planning an "imaginary exhibition"(based on the concept of French literary and cultural historian André Malraux) and creating a catalog.
素材の異なる美術作品の理解、作品の取り扱いと調査に関する基礎的な技術、展示方法の理論を理解するため、授業は以下の内容で進める。

In order to acquire the basic skill of artwork research and to understand the thought for exhibition, this course provide students the following contents.

美術作品を視覚的に分析し、言語化するための手順と観点、およびインターネットおよび文献資料を通じて作品の画像資料および基本的データを収集する方法を習得する。
Understanding the procedures and perspectives for visual analysis works of art and linguistically describing them, and learn how to research imagery and basic data of the work through the Internet and literature.
素材の異なる美術作品の理解、作品の取り扱いと調査に関する基礎的な技術、展示方法の理論を理解するため、授業は以下の内容で進める。

中世末期から現代にかけての絵画および彫刻の発展過程を理解するためには、「アーティスト」および「アート」という概念 の形成過程を理解することが必要不可欠です。この授業では、信仰や崇拝の対象として制作されていた絵画や彫刻が、いかにして現代の私たちが知るアートへと「変容」していったかを、特に重要な役割を果たした作品および事例の分析を通じて概観します。
In order to understand the development of painting and sculpture from the late Middle Ages to the present day, it is essential to understand how the concepts of "artist" and "art" were formed. In this course, we will look at how paintings and sculptures, which were originally created as objects of faith and worship, were "transformed" into the art that we know today through the analysis of works and examples that played a particularly important role.
美術史とは歴史研究における方法のひとつで、美術作品を資料として分析し、どのような時代背景のもと、どのような意識に基づき、なぜ制作されたのか、各時代の人間の営為や精神を見つめることを目的とする学問である。一見、入口としてハードルは低そうに見えるが、美術作品はいわば歴史の「上澄み」であり、その下を支える思想、哲学、宗教、文学などは多様で複雑である。

This course provides an overview of Edo art work,based on historical and cultural background and explanations influence from China and Korean Peninsula and originality of Japan from the perspective of Japan in East Asia.
美術史とは歴史研究における方法のひとつで、美術作品を資料として分析し、どのような時代背景のもと、どのような意識に基づき、なぜ制作されたのか、各時代の人間の営為や精神を見つめることを目的とする学問である。一見、入口としてハードルは低そうに見えるが、美術作品はいわば歴史の「上澄み」であり、その下を支える思想、哲学、宗教、文学などは多様で複雑である。
本講は「日本絵画史」の続編にあたり、東アジアにおける文化の総決算ともいえる江戸時代に焦点を絞り、その広範な文化的背景を解きほぐしつつ、主要な美術作品の諸様相について概観していく。「絵画」のみではなく、「刀剣」「刀装具」「染織」などの諸工芸についても言及し、東アジアのなかの日本という観点から、中国大陸や朝鮮半島からの影響と日本の独自性についても考える。

古代から現代までの西洋美術史を対象にして、英語の研究論文を読解しながら、作品や作家についての「問い」を立てて調査および分析を行い、先行研究を踏まえた発表を行います。
While reading English research papers on the history of Western art from ancient times to the present, we will raise 'questions' about works and writers, conduct research and analysis, and make presentations based on previous research.
