実際の遺跡発掘調査による資料の整理と分析作業を通して、考古学における遺跡調査法、資料分析法の基礎を学ぶ。資料に対する観察眼を養い、遺跡・遺物の調査研究を進めていくために必要な実技を修得する。遺物の特徴に応じた写真撮影の方法を実習する。資料保存・修復の作業実習も行う。また通年において、発掘技術、測量作業、記録法などの実際を発掘調査現場において学ぶ。特に出席および毎回の受講態度を重視する。相当量の宿題あり。
This course provides actual experiences of archaeological research. Archaeological records and excavated artifacts from the investigation by the Laboratory of Archaeology, Graduate School of Arts and Letters, Tohoku University are used in the class. The method of analysis and production of excavation reports are practiced during the class hours. A heavy load of homework (off class hour laboratory work) are expected. Good commands of the Japanese language are necessary especially during discussion and laboratory work.

発掘調査から、出土遺物の処理、資料整理と分析、図面製作、写真撮影、遺物の資料化、そして調査研究報告書の作成に至るまでの一連の作業を通して、考古学の高度な研究方法の実際を修得する。
This course provides oppotunities to experience excavation, operation of archaeological materials, projected drawing of artifacts, layout of drawing, taking photographs for editing the excavation report. Students will obtain actual techniques and methods for archaeological study through this course.
考古学研究のなかで、出土した遺物を正確に資料化していく作業は、きわめて重要です。今後の研究の基礎として、そのための基本的な方法、技術、および各種遺物の観察の仕方を学びます。土器・石器などの実測図作製の実習を通して、実証的な研究態度を身につけ、資料に対する観察眼を養い、客観的な資料提示の方法を学びます。実習資料は、実際の出土品を扱います。
This course provides suffecent oppotunities to draw projected figure of archaeological material as several lithic tools, potteries and a polished stone axe. It is also important to understand manufacture sequentce, utilization and breakage of the tool. Precise knowledge on artifact formation process is needed to draw it correctly. Students will obtain actual techniques and methods to understand archaeological materials. They will also be able to express archaeological information on the drawing through this course.
史跡多賀城跡あるいは関連遺跡の発掘調査に参加し、実際の発掘調査をおこなうための基礎的知識と、調査方法を学ぶ。また、遺跡から出土した遺物の整理や保存処理、科学的分析法を学び、文化財科学の方法と実践の基礎を学ぶ。
In this course, students will take part in the excavation at Tagajo fort site and learn basic knowledge and practical method to carry out field work. Furthermore, they will be offered an oppotunitiy to experience treatment for artifact protection and practice of scientific analysis.
日本では、発掘調査の圧倒的多数が、開発に伴う調査であることが特徴である。このような調査は、文化財保護法に基づく埋蔵文化財保護行政の一環として、行政機関によって実施されている。このことは日本における考古学研究に大きな影響を与えている。
本講義では、文化財保護法や関連する諸規定と、それに基づく埋蔵文化財保護行政の実際について解説する。あわせて、文化財保護行政の今後の展望についても検討し、その中での考古学研究のあり方について考察する。
In Japan, majority of excavation is carried out in advance of construction or other land development. Such excavation is performed as a part of preservation of cultural properties administration. This situation is having a big influence on an archaeology study in Japan.
This course provides explanations of Act on Protection of Cultural Properties and administrative practical business affair based on a law. Future's view of cultural property protection administration is also considered.
本講義の目的は、考古学研究の目的と手法、概念を学び、考古学について自分なりの問題意識・視点を獲得することです。考古学研究は、対象とする時代・地域あるいは研究者によって、理論的・方法論的に多様です。そして、研究成果は一次的に報告書、そして研究を通した論文として発表されますが、報告書や論文にはそれぞれの形式が存在します。形式に沿って構造化された文章に親しむことは、調査・研究資料から正しく情報を引き出すために必要です。具体的な資料の読解を通して、考古学と論文の構造についての知識を獲得しつつ、考古学研究の多様性を認識します。こうした知識の獲得と同時に、自分なりの問題意識・視点をもち、議論できるようになることをめざします。そのため、講義時に内容を報告するとともに、全員で意見交換を行います。
The purpose of this lecture is to learn the purpose, method and concept of archaeological study and to acquire student’s own problem awareness / opinion on archaeology.
日本考古学を中心に、明治時代以来の考古学研究の流れを整理し、今後の展望を探る。旧石器の編年と製作技術、縄文土器の型式学、縄文集落と社会、農耕社会の成立と発展、古墳文化、城柵官衙遺跡、古代窯業生産と供給、中・近世考古学その他、受講者各自が具体的な課題を選んで、順次、発表を行う。詳細な文献目録の作製、研究史の画期となった主要業績の解題、基本的な考古学資料の内容理解、調査研究報告書の詳細な検討、そして相互の討論を通して、研究の現状についての認識を深める。
Students are introduced to history, method and theory of archaeological research through ckass presentation and discussion.
他者の信仰を理解するためには、文字化された資料を扱うのみでは限界があり、フィールドワークに基づき、活きた信仰を解き明かすことが必須である。本授業では、宗教調査の方法とスキルについて講義を通して学習し、夏季におこなう共同調査に向けて調査計画の立案を行う。
It is important for students in religious studies to know living religious cultures. This course offers an opportunity for students to experience field research to deepen their understanding of religion.
