Course Title (授業題目)

Introductory Field Work of Archaeological Materials

授業の目的と概要

考古学研究のなかで、出土した遺物を正確に資料化していく作業は、きわめて重要です。今後の研究の基礎として、そのための基本的な方法、技術、および各種遺物の観察の仕方を学びます。土器・石器などの実測図作製の実習を通して、実証的な研究態度を身につけ、資料に対する観察眼を養い、客観的な資料提示の方法を学びます。実習資料は、実際の出土品を扱います。

Course Objectives and Course Synopsis(授業の目的と概要)

This course provides suffecent oppotunities to draw projected figure of archaeological material as several lithic tools, potteries and a polished stone axe. It is also important to understand manufacture sequentce, utilization and breakage of the tool. Precise knowledge on artifact formation process is needed to draw it correctly. Students will obtain actual techniques and methods to understand archaeological materials. They will also be able to express archaeological information on the drawing through this course.

（１）考古学における出土遺物の資料化の意義を理解できるようになる。（２）特に実測図作成の基本を学び、各種遺物の実測図を作成できるようになる。

Grading Plan(成績評価方法)

Students are evaluated on their points from attendance (30%) and the level of projected drawing (70%).
