本講義では、「人物」を通して、日本史の概要や特色を学ぶことを目的とする。「人物」をとりあげることによって、ある人物の判断が歴史を動かす場面を目の当たりにしたり、市井の人物の人生が、歴史の変動によって翻弄される場面を目撃することになる。人が歴史をつくり、歴史によって人がつくられる点を現代の私たちが実感しつつ、あわせて「人物」から歴史を学ぶことの意義も考えたい。
In this course, students understand overview and the features of Japanese history.
本講義は、「都市」を通して、日本史の概要と特色を明らかにすることにある。「都市」とは一般に、人や物、情報が行き交う結節点であり、農村とは異なる景観をもつと考えられる。このような「都市」がなくては、そもそも国家が成り立たないことから、「都市」を考えることとは、国家や政治を考えることでもある。また、「都市」に暮らす人々の生き生きとした様子から、差別や自由といった歴史の深層を探り当てることもできる。このように、多面的な魅力を持つ「都市」ではあるが、そもそも「都市」とは何かを問うこと自体、研究史上の論点でもあった。これらの点をふまえつつ、具体的な歴史資料を通して、歴史的に「都市」を学ぶことの意義を論じていくこととする。

目的：日本の建築・都市の歴史をさまざまな観点から理解する。
概要：私たちをとりまく都市・建築は、どのようにつくられ、使われ、意味を帯びてきたのか。この講義では、古代から近代以前における日本建築の歴史を考える。そのさい、建造物の意匠や空間、構造、さらにはそれらをつくりだした理念や社会背景など、様々な視点から多角的に、かつ東アジアとの文化的な対外交渉関係をふまえながら検討してゆく。
達成目標等：日本建築の歴史的変遷を理解し、文化の特質について考える。
・ スライドと配付資料を適宜活用した講義形式で進める。
・ 配付資料の配布および諸々通知は事前にGoogle classroomで行う。
・ 配付資料データを開くパスは事前授業時あるいはGoogle classroomで連絡する。
・ 配付資料は必ず事前に印刷をしておくこと。

This lecture aims to understand the history of Japanese architecture from various viewpoints.
The primary goal of this lecture is to review Japanese architecture from Ancient Times to the Modern age from various viewpoints such as design, technique, idea, and social background based on a cultural relation with East Asia.
・The lecture will be conducted in a lecture format using slides and handouts.
・The distribution of handouts and notifications will be made via Google Classroom in advance.
・The pass to open the handout data will be announced during the advanced class or at Google Classroom.
・Please, make sure to print out the handouts in advance.
日本近世・近代史研究演習Ⅲの研究発表をふまえて、さらに研究を進めて、その成果を報告する。そして、討論を通して課題を絞り、論文などにまとめていく。このことを通して、受講者が、日本近現代史における現在の研究内容について学び、新しい歴史研究の構築とその内容の理解について認識を深める。
Based on the research presentation of the Advanced Seminar on Early Modern and Modern History in JapanⅢ (Method of Studies on Japanese Modern History (1)), students will further research and report the results.
Then, through discussions, students narrow down the issues and summarize them into papers.
Through this, participants deepen their understanding of the contents of Japanese modern historical studies. This course will be taught in Japanese.

古代から現代までの西洋の建築の歴史を通観する。古代ではギリシャ・ローマの建築を中心に解説する。中世は、ロマネスクからゴシックへの様式展開を跡づけることを主眼とする。そして、近世はルネサンス・マニエリスム・バロックの様式変遷を理解する。20世紀はモダニズムからポストモダンの流れを概観する。西洋建築の変遷と，各時代・地域における様式的特徴の理解を目指す。

The course will explain the History of Western Architecture; Greek and Rome in Ancient times; Romanesque and Gothic in the Middle Ages; Renaissance and Baroque in the Early Modern Period; Modernism and Postmodern in Modern Times. The lecture aims to enable students to understand each architectural style and its characteristics.

近現代史における基礎的な研究内容について学び、受講者相互に認識を深めるとともに、各自が研究テーマを設定して、その問題関心、視角、実証分析について発表する。そして、それに対する討論を通して、発表者の研究方法について課題を明確にする。
In this class, students will study basic research contents in modern history, set their own research themes, and present their interests, viewing angles, and empirical analysis. Then, through discussions, clarify issues regarding the presenter's research methods. This course will be taught in Japanese.
近現代日本とアジアの関係は、世界の中での日本の位置や抱えていた課題を示すものであった。本講義では、その関係を通して見える日本国内の政治経済構造の特質や、国際政治上の位置について考察することを目指す。具体的には、「大東亜共栄圏」と言われた戦時期の経済ブロック構想の内実とその実態について、それ以前・以後の歴史もふまえて考察する。
The relationship between modern Japan and Asia shows Japan's position in the world and the issues it faced. This lecture aims to understand the characteristics of Japan's domestic political and economic structure and its position in international politics that can be seen through this relationship. Specifically, lectures will be given on the realities of the wartime economic bloc concept called the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, based on the historical background.
