ヨーロッパ・アメリカ研究の学知と方法について指導教員と意見交換を交わすことにより、修士論文で得た新たな知見をふまえ、自らの研究テーマをさらに掘り下げて追究できるようにする。
The students professionally consider the issues on their research topics and related matters, and
they will get individual research guidance from their supervisors to prepare for their doctoral
theses.

文学および歴史学を専門とする教員によるオムニバス方式の講義をつうじて、ヨーロッパ・アメリカ地域が個別的に直面してきた諸問題を比較検討することにより、広い意味でのヨーロッパ・アメリカ文化の特質を解明する。
In this course, lecturers who study literature and history elucidate the characteristics of European/American culture with a comparative perspective.
中世ヨーロッパ史の文献の読解力を養うとともに、研究の最前線に関する知見を深めることが目的です。教室における文献の読解・検討と、レポート作成を、２つの柱とします。
The purposes of this course are developing reading skills of articles and books on medieval European history, and learning deeply on historical research. Students are required to read and translate the text below, and also to write a report on medieval European history.
