    目的:最先端の科学技術に関する情報はほぼ英語で提供されている。英語で書かれた科学技術に関する記事を題材にAcademic Englishに関する読解力を身に付け、英語論文の構成や論理の流れを理解し、多方面の科学技術に関する情報収集力を養う。

    概要:新聞、雑誌、専門誌に掲載された科学・工学の思考法に関する記事、論文を読みながら、科学技術英語構文の構成や論理展開の手法について学ぶ。

    達成方法等:以下の学習活動に重点を置く

    (1) 複雑な英文の文法構造を正確かつ素早く分析する

    (2) テキストの論理の流れを正確に把握する

    (3) 辞書を十分に活用し、語彙力を高める

    (4) 自然科学に関する深い知識と教養を身に付ける

    (1) To develop skills to analyze the grammatical structure of a complex English sentence accurately and promptly

    (2) To comprehend a logical line of reasoning in an academic article

    (3) To build a strong vocabulary, making good use of dictionaries

    (4) To foster deep knowledge and resourcefulness about natural science
