生理活性を示す化合物には、窒素、酸素、およびイオウ原子を構成原子として含む化合物が数多く存在する。本講義では、これらの化合物の化学的性質や合成方法など、基本的性質を解説すると共に、医薬品としての応用に関する基礎的知識を学ぶ。あわせて、これらを合成するのに必要な有機金属、ブレンステッド塩基、ラジカル化学について学ぶ。
Biologically active compounds often contain nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur atoms, and students will understand the property and synthesis of such organoheteroatom compounds along with their application to drugs. In addition, students learn organometallic, Brønsted base, and radical chemistry to synthesize these compounds.

Organometallic compounds that have a carbon-metal bond are located in the boundary region between organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry. In this lecture, synthetic methods, structures and bonds, reactivity, catalytic action, usage for organic synthetic reactions for organic transition metal compounds will be explained.
反応活性な有機金属錯体について、その基礎および最近の展開について紹介する。
具体的には、以下の2つのタイプの錯体を中心に、合成、構造、結合状態、反応性および触媒能等について解説する。
1. 遷移金属と14~16族元素間に多重結合を持つ錯体
2. 多座キレート配位子を持つ錯体
This course explains basic knowledges of reactive organometallic complexes and recent progress in the chemistry of organometallic chemistry, with focus on two classes of complexes as follows.
1) Complexes bearing metal-Group 14-15 multiple bonds
2) Complexes with multidentate chelate lignads
Synthesis, structures, bonding situation, reactivity and catalysis of these complexes are explained.

1.目的
無機化学は、元素およびその化合物の反応・構造・機能を扱う分野である。本講義は、無機構造論および反応論における基礎的な概念を学び、先端材料工学・環境・資源・エネルギーなどの諸問題と無機化学との大きな関わりを理解させることを目的とする。
2.概要
本講義は無機化学反応論基礎として、(I)固体の化学結合と構造論、(II)溶液内の酸塩基反応・酸化還元反応・錯体形成反応および錯体構造論を取り上げ、化学平衡論を主体とした化学反応理解のアプローチ法を学ぶ。無機化合物各論を、先端技術・資源・環境における様々な元素とその化合物の利用と輪廻という観点から学ぶ。
3.達成目標等
この授業では主に以下のような能力を習得することを達成目標にする。
・簡単な酸塩基反応と酸化還元反応(電気化学)の平衡論的取り扱いと平衡定数に基づく反応解析ができる。
・量子論による化学結合および分子の理解から進んで、無機物質の示す諸性質を化学結合論と構造論を基礎として説明できる。
・元素・化合物の横断的性質(周期律)を理解し、典型的な数例について、材料の機能発現と無機物質系の化学、および地球環境における元素・化合物の循環を定性的に説明できる。

Fundamental principles of inorganic chemistry will be discussed in this course. Topics to be discussed will include atomic structure, structure and bonding in solids, acid-base reactions, oxidation-reduction, and coordination compounds.
Where appropriate, emphasis will be placed on the mechanisms of reactions and the relationship between structure and reactivity.

In this course, students will learn basic principles of electronic states and chemical properties of main-group metals, non-metal elements, and transition metals, which are groups of elements classified based on the periodic table. 有機化合物は脂肪族と芳香族に大別される。これらのうち、アルケン、アルキン、脂環式化合物などの脂肪族と基本的な芳香族化合物について、その特徴的な性質と反応を学ぶ。
3.達成目標等
この授業では主に以下のような能力を習得することを達成目標にする。
・有機化合物の骨格を形成する炭素 - 炭素結合の種類と基本的性質を理解し、説明することができる。
・炭素-炭素不飽和結合の立体化学、形成法、付加反応を理解し、説明することができる。
・芳香族性の由来、芳香族化合物の基本的性質と機能を理解し、説明することができる。

Organic compounds are roughly classified into aliphatics and aromatics. In the first half of this course, students will learn structures and characteristic reactions of principal aliphatic compounds, that is, alkenes, alkynes, and alicyclic compounds. In the latter half, students will learn those of aromatic compounds.
