エリアマネジメントとは、特定のエリアを単位に、民間が主体となって、まちづくりや地域経営（マネジメント）を積極的に行おうという取組みである。現在、民主導のまちづくり、官民協働型のまちづくりへの期待から、大都市の都心部、地方都市の商業地、郊外の住宅地など、全国各地でエリアマネジメントの取組みが実践されている（「日本版BID を含むエリアマネジメントの推進方策検討会（中間とりまとめ）」）。
本講義においては、エリアマネジメントの系譜について講義をすると共に、各地における取り組み事例とその効果と課題に関する学生からの報告をもとにディスカッションを行うことを通じて、エリアマネジメントとそのあり方について理解を深めることを目的とする。
現地調査も含めた、積極的な講義への参加が求められる。
授業の実施方法：授業は対面で行うが、Google Classroomも用いる。

"Area Management" is an activity, through which private sector tries to conduct community development or management in a certain area. Currently, area management has been implemented in the whole country and abroad for revitalization or activation in city centers of metropolitan areas, provincial cities as well as residential districts in the suburban areas. This lecture aims at the understanding of effect and challenges of it.
As for the contents of the lecture, the development of area management will be explained genealogically, and the effects and challenges of it will be reported by participants through case studies, followed by discussions.
Active participation in the lecture is highly expected.
Lectures will be conducted in person, but Google Classroom will also be used.

Learn the background theory and practical legal procedures of urban planning.
日本の都市ないし地域は、人口減少時代を迎え、経済の停滞や活力の低下、都市機能の低下、地域コミュニティの衰退、景観や公共サービスの維持の困難さ等様々な課題を抱えている。さらに、東日本大震災の被災地、特に一斉避難を経験した福島原子力災害被災地においては、少しずつ住民の帰還が進んではいるが、人口減少をはじめとする前述のような課題が急激に起こったともいえ、その復興にも様々な課題がある。また、財政状況のひっ迫、社会の複雑化、課題の多様化等の理由から公共主体のみでの問題解決が難しくなっている。このため、住民や事業者、まちづくり会社、NPO 等の民間主体への期待が高まってきており、例えばこれらの主体がエリアマネジメントという新たな手法で従来型の公共サービスを超えた官民中間領域のまちづくりを担う機会が増加している。
本講義では、政策立案の最前線やまちづくり・地域づくりの現場で実際に行われている政策・施策のうつ代表的なものを７分野とりあげ、実務家教員である担当教員又は現場で政策・施策の立案・実施に当たっている外部講師等からの講義により具体的に学ぶとともに、学生がその分野の課題や解決の方向性を自ら考え、学生同士及び担当教員・外部講師等とディスカッションを行う。本講義は、これらを通じて、まちづくり・地域づくりの政策の企画・立案や施策の実施過程を理解するとともに、政策の企画・立案能力及びそのプレゼンテーション能力の養成を目的とする。
This course is a seminar course teaching on city and town management policy. This course provide student with opportunities understanding the proses of policy making and aiming to promote capability of policy making and coordination. Students are required making some presentations and discussion concerning about the field of previous lecture by teachers.

A city consists of various infrastructures such as transportation systems life lines that support our life styles, culture, economic activities. Urban System Planning is the wisdom by which a city is constructed, operated and maintained. This lecture discusses problems and the countermeasures related to the wisdom from three aspects: urban planning, urban transportation and urban policy.

１．目的：交通計画や都市計画を行うためには，現状を分析し，問題点を抽出し，その解決のための案を作成し，評価する必要がある．このような一連のプロセスについて実際の計画課題を通じて，都市システム計画の実践を学ぶ．

The situation surrounding the industries that the engineering field has supported is changing. This course provide an overview of climate changes caused by urbanization and the resulting environmental problems, and explains basic knowledge for realizing a good urban environment.
2)Summary of class:
Lectures on urban climate issues such as urban heat island, evaluation of environmental potential of regional nature and climate and its utilization, urban environment planning using climate atlas, measurement technique of urban environment, simulation techniques and their application examples, etc..
3)Goal of study:
This course is designed to help students correctly understand the factors that cause urban environmental problems and their countermeasures, and the theoretical basis for rational urban environmental planning.

・授業科目の目的・概要
都市や地域の形成過程の探究や実態分析を通じて、現場を理解する方法論を学ぶ。基本は現場に身を置くことだが、関連する論文や既往研究を読んで、論証するとはどういうことかを学んで欲しい。主に東日本大震災後の現場を対象としながら、災後と日常の関係を考えることに力点を置く。
現場において重要なことは自分が考えるに値すると考える問いをもつことだ。その問いを抱いて、講義後も考え続けることは、いずれ皆さんが現場に立つときの実践において役立つ。
・達成目標
当日の議論、事前の準備、事後の振り返りを通じて、都市や地域のデザインについての、自分の論点や態度を考えてもらいたい。
また、建築学や都市工学分野における査読論文の執筆能力の習得を目指す。
基本的に対面講義だが、オンラインとなる場合はGoogle MeetかZoomを使用する。実施方法、接続先URLはGoogle Classroomで通知する予定。

・Course Objectives and Outline
Learn methodologies for understanding the actual situation through exploration and analysis of the formation process of cities and regions. The basics are to put yourself in the field, but I also want you to read related papers and past research and learn what it means to make an argument. Focusing primarily on the sites following the Great East Japan Earthquake, we place emphasis on considering the relationship between post-disaster and everyday life.
What is important in the field is to ask questions that you think are worth thinking about. Having that question in mind and continuing to think about it after the lecture will help you in your practice when you are in the field.
・Achievement Goal
Through the discussion in the class, preparations before the event, and reflection after the event, I would like you to think about your own issues and attitudes regarding urban and territorial design.
In addition, we aim to acquire the ability to write peer-reviewed papers in the fields of architecture and urban engineering.
