日本近世・近代史研究演習Ⅲの研究発表をふまえて、さらに研究を進めて、その成果を報告する。そして、討論を通して課題を絞り、論文などにまとめていく。このことを通して、受講者が、日本近現代史における現在の研究内容について学び、新しい歴史研究の構築とその内容の理解について認識を深める。
Based on the research presentation of the Advanced Seminar on Early Modern and Modern History in JapanⅢ (Method of Studies on Japanese Modern History (1)), students will further research and report the results.
Then, through discussions, students narrow down the issues and summarize them into papers.
Through this, participants deepen their understanding of the contents of Japanese modern historical studies. This course will be taught in Japanese.
近現代史における基礎的な研究内容について学び、受講者相互に認識を深めるとともに、各自が研究テーマを設定して、その問題関心、視角、実証分析について発表する。そして、それに対する討論を通して、発表者の研究方法について課題を明確にする。
In this class, students will study basic research contents in modern history, set their own research themes, and present their interests, viewing angles, and empirical analysis. Then, through discussions, clarify issues regarding the presenter's research methods. This course will be taught in Japanese.

前期の史料講読の続講。参謀本部編『杉山メモ』と参謀本部戦争指導班『機密戦争日誌』を照合して読解し、関連する史料などとあわせて、近現代日本の政治・社会について考察する。演習形式で行い、報告者に対する質問や討論により、受講者の各自の認識を深める。
In this course, students will read the” Sugiyama Memo” edited by the General Staff Headquarters, which is a central document of the nation during the war, and the” Secret War Diary” by the War Guidance Group of the General Staff Headquarters, and use it together with related historical materials to learn about modern Japanese politics and society. This class is in seminar form, and each time, the reporter selected among students will examine a certain range of biographies and present them. Then students will ask questions and discuss the reporters. Participants deepen their own understanding through questions and discussion with the presenter.

本講義では、「人物」を通して、日本史の概要や特色を学ぶことを目的とする。「人物」をとりあげることによって、ある人物の判断が歴史を動かす場面を目の当たりにしたり、市井の人物の人生が、歴史の変動によって翻弄される場面を目撃することになる。人が歴史をつくり、歴史によって人がつくられる点を現代の私たちが実感しつつ、あわせて「人物」から歴史を学ぶことの意義も考えたい。
In this course, students understand overview and the features of Japanese history.
日本近世史における代表的ないしは最新の論文を読み、理解し、それをもとに討論する。受講者は指定された論文を事前に読み、順番にレポーターとして要旨等を紹介し、討論に参加する。受講に際しては議論への積極的な参加を求めることになる。 必要に応じ、学外の見学なども実施する。
In this course, students can deepen their understanding of early modern Japanese society. Students are required to read the designated essays for each class. Positive participation in classes is expected.
受講者各自が、日本近世史に関して自らの研究テーマに基づいて研究報告をし、それを参加者全員で討議する。研究の実践の場として、受講者自身の論文執筆に資することはもちろんであるが、報告・司会の方法に習熟し、加えて他の受講者の意見や報告を通じて新たな知見を得ることもねらいとする。必ず「近世史研究法（２）」と連続で受講すること。
This course aims to acquire abundant knowledge and identeify a research in early modern Japanese history. Positive participation in classes is expected.
