This course covers the extensive topics of general psychology to help students understand the essence of contemporary psychology. Students can get experience of psychological experiment and questionnaires in this class.

主として計量的な心理学の方法論として幅広く使われている質問紙法や検査法，記述式のテスト，小論文，面接試験等，主観的な評価を伴う測定法を用いた尺度を開発・自作する際の技術に関わる理論的背景について学ぶ。同時に，心理検査等，心理学的測定に関わる結果を評価するための理論について，その基礎的な概念を学ぶ。信頼性，妥当性といった概念の基礎となる古典的テスト理論とその発展形である一般可能性理論，さらに探索的因子分析を中心に測定法の基礎を学ぶ。
This course mainly target to learn about the theoretical background related to psychological measurement such as quesstionnaires, psychological testing, open-ended questions, essay, interview and so on. The measurement theory is also useful for evaluating the results obtained by those techniques. We approcach Classical Test Theory, that is the basis of commonly used concept 'validity' and 'reliability'. After that, we might try Generalized Theory which is the evolutional theory of CTT or the basis of Exploratory Factor Analysis.

人間は，意識的かどうかにかかわらず，外界の事物や自分や他者の状態等の多種多様な情報を認識し，行動を選択し，外界や他者に働きかけながら生活している。本講義では，このような情報のやりとりを支える「こころ」，さらには脳について，認知心理学のみならず，情報科学や脳科学等との密接な関連性を意識しながら理解することを目指す。適宜，錯覚等の心的現象のデモンストレーションや心理学実験の実体験に加えて，最新の脳科学的知見・話題をも織り交ぜながら講義を進めていく。
We consciously or unconsciously perceive various information from the internal and external environments, choose an adaptive behavior based on perceived information, and interact with the environments. This course aims at comprehensively understanding the adaptive mind like sensation, perception, and cognition from a psychology and brain science perspective. This course will include many demonstrations of psychological phenomena and experiments to help students deepen their understanding of the adaptive mind.
