Students will be introduced to new trends and perspectives in research in the field of Japanese religious and intellectual history through peer review of student papers.

受講者が各自の研究テーマとその進度に応じて発表を行い、参加者全員による討議を行う。研究の進行に必要とされる方法論や発表方法について議論が行われる。/ Students will present on their own research topic and their progress, which will then be debated by all present. We will discuss research methods necessary for further research, and presentation skills.
日本語史・方言研究について、種々の研究テーマの存在する現在の学界の動向を把握しながら、参加者各自のテーマに関する先行研究の調査・批判をおこない、自己のテーマと研究方法を定める。その上で、テーマ・方法に即した調査をおこない、収集したデータをもとに分析考察を進め、その成果を口頭発表する。また、その内容について、参加者全員による討論をおこなう。自己のテーマに関する先行研究の調査・批判の方法、資料の充分な精査に基づいた考察方法、新たな方法論・研究成果の有効な記述法などを口頭発表、討論等を通じて身につける。
Participants survey and criticize prior research on Japanese language history and Japanese dialect, and determine their own themes and research methods, while grasping current academic trends where various research themes exist. After that, we will conduct surveys based on the theme and method, conduct analysis and consideration based on the collected data, and announce the results orally. In addition, the contents will be discussed by all participants. Through oral presentations and discussions, students will learn how to research and criticize prior research on their own themes, how to consider them based on sufficient scrutiny of materials, and how to effectively describe new methodologies and research results.
科学論文とは、科学的な研究成果を客観的かつ論理的に伝えるための手段の1つであり、ある一定の構造（型）からなる。論文の構造を知り、論文を読む力・まとめる力を養うことは、今後のセミナー発表や卒業研究に取り組む上で必要不可欠である。本講義では、座学と演習を通して、科学論文の読み方と発表方法の基礎を総合的に学習する。まず、科学論文の構成やプレゼンテーション資料の作成および発表方法について座学で学ぶ。そして演習にて、各自が取得した科学論文（英文）を読み、まとめ、発表する。また、参加者全員で各発表に対する評価およびフィードバックを行う。
Scientific papers consist of specific structures (type). Knowing the structure of papers and improving their reading and summarizing skills are essential for future seminar presentations and graduation research. In this course, students will comprehensively learn the basics of scientific reading and presentation through lectures and practical exercises. First, students will learn about the structure of scientific papers and how to prepare presentation materials in the classroom. After, in practice, students will read, summarize, and present scientific papers obtained by each during the course. In addition, evaluation and feedback on each presentation will be given by all participants. Through this course, the students will master reading, summarizing, and presenting skills in scientific papers.

社会思想史学および関連領域における特定のテーマについて雑誌掲載論文・ブックチャプターなどの各種学術論文を作成することを予定している皆さんとともに、論文の執筆法の基礎を検討します。
This class is for the students who intend to write academic article including M.A. thesis in the field of socio-intellectual history. we will examine the basic manner of writing it.
