The object of this course is to teach some basic points of Marxian economic analysis of capitalist economy and Marxian view on history, subsequently to provide an overview on modern Chinese economy.
第一部では、マルクス経済学の初歩を説明する。第二部では、マルクスらの唯物史観の概要を説明する。第三部では、現在でも社会主義を標榜する中国をとりあげ、その過去と現状を概説する。
In the first part of this course, I will introduce some basic concepts of Marxian analysis of capitalist economy (e.g., class, exploitation, surplus labor etc.). In the second part, I will explain Marxian historical materialism. Finally, in the third part, I will provide an overview of Chinese economy since 1949.

資本主義の歴史的性格、資本主義経済システムの構造及び運動法則を理解するとともに経済学がそれとどのように関わってきたのかを理解する。
Main objective is to understand historical character, structure, and system of capitalist economy. And understanding how econmics were related to these factors is another objective.

The successor,Marxian economics,is different from modern mainstream economics in that it has the concept of value in addition to price and that it has a circular view of the economy. In this course, we learn the basic theory of money,labor value and the market economy in which the income distribution is decided by price mechanism.
中国は、日本にとって重要な経済パートナーであると同時に安全保障上の懸念材料でもある。また、中国は、国際的な影響力を強めている一方で、国内の不安定化という問題を抱えている。
なぜ、このような矛盾が生じるのか？
本講義は、日本の将来を考えるうえで無視することのできない存在である中国に焦点をあて、政治学の分析枠組みを用いて、その基本的特徴について考察することを主たる目的としている。言い換えれば、中国はどんな国かということについて政治学の視点から把握しようとする試みである。
講義では、国民国家やナショナリズムという分析枠組みに関する基本的な説明を踏まえ、中国の国家形態が皇帝専制国家から国民国家へと変容する過程および中華人民共和国における共産党の統治の在り方について論じる。19世紀末以降の日中関係について考察することも本講義の重要な目的の一つとなる。
This lecture focuses on the process of nation-state building in modern China. It will examine the transformation of the character of modern Chinese nationalism and analyze the political structure of the Chinese communist regime.
The purpose of this course is to provide students with the basic theories of Marxian and other non-mainstream economics by using mathematical methods.
The course not only provides different explanation concerning the same phenomena (e.g. positiveness of prices) from the mainstream economics but also deals with the phenomena which are not explained in the orthodox textbooks.
Given the tendency that unequal distribution of income and wealth is growing all over the world, Marxian as well as other non-mainstream economics are recently revisited. Due to this course, it is expected that the different ways of thinking about capitalist economies from the mainstream are possible.
I近年の民主主義の危機は、資本主義経済の変容と大きく関係していると指摘されているが、それを考える上で最も重要なキーワードが「新自由主義」である。本演習では、この「新自由主義」と呼ばれる経済理論や思想が具体的にどのようなものであり、それが経済以外の側面、特に政治にどのような影響を与え、我々の生活環境をどのように変えていくのかについて、様々な専門家の見解を参照しながら考察していく。

In this exercise, we will examine what exactly is this economic theory or idea called "neoliberalism" and how it affects non-economic aspects, especially politics, and changes our living environment, referring to the views of political philosophers and economists.
