多くの疾患は栄養をはじめとした生活習慣と関連がある。本講義の目的は、健康に関する疫学研究の方法と概要を理解し、生活習慣と健康との関連を適切に評価できるようになることである。はじめに疫学の基本事項と研究方法を解説する。つぎに各種健康指標を概説し、疾病予防と健康管理、個々の疾病(主にがんと循環器疾患)についての疫学を概説する。

The purpose of this course is to understand the basic matters of epidemiological study related health, and to evaluate the relationship between lifestyle and health.
First, explains the basic matters and methods of epidemiology .
Next, introduce many health index and epidemiology studies for disease prevention, health management, and individual diseases (cancer, cardiovascular disease).

Health Chemistry is the research field to find the method by which protect human from various types of stress including environmental stress, emerging infectious diseases, and drugs, leading to maintenance and increase of human health and prevention of human diseases. Therefore, the important theme is changed by the needs of the times. In this course, students can especially deepen their understanding of infection by microorganisms and their prophylaxis, immunity and food allergy, epidemiology and prophylaxis of life style-related diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.

疫学研究の方法論、代表的な疾患に関する疫学研究、新しいタイプの疫学について概説する。さらに、疫学エビデンスと保健医療政策との関係を論じる。
Methodology of epidemiologic research, epidemiology of major diseases, new types of epidemiologic research would be discussed. Finally, the issue of developing epidemiological evidence to health policy would be discussed.

我々を取り巻く環境中には様々な物理化学的要因が存在し、我々の健康に影響を及ぼしている。近年、地球温暖化などの地球環境問題に加えて、環境汚染を介した重金属やダイオキシン類、残留性有機汚染物質などによる健康被害が大きな問題になっている。本講義は人間の健康の保持・増進と疾病予防のための方策を検討する公衆衛生学関連講義として、主に環境要因による健康被害とそれに対する方策について学ぶ。
Environmental health science is a discipline which explores methods for maintenance of the human health and prevention of disease caused by environmental pollutants. In this course, students will understand methods to grasp the human health condition and the actual situation of the disease, the investigation method of the primary cause (mainly environmental risk) of the illness and actual methods for the disease prevention. Students also learn about pollution and purification treatment of water and air which are the most important factors in maintaining health.
