コンピュータを用いた画像解析をおこなう。

Students will learn about spatial information science including satellite remote sensing technology and geographical information system (GIS).

Our lives are supported by vast fields such as forests and agricultural lands and the biodiversity that exists there. Remote sensing and GIS technologies are effective in grasping the actual conditions of such a vast field on a macro scale. In addition, conservation genetic methods and microbial points of view are necessary in preserving the genetic diversity and ecosystem functions of organisms that support the richness of the field. In this lecture, by learning the basics of the theory and method of such viewpoints and technologies, you will gain a deep understanding of the actual conditions of the fields that are the basis of our lives, and the ability to think about their appropriate utilization and conservation.
