We learn about :
1) the meaning of French Literature in today's Japan
2) the history of French and French Literature until the 17th century.
この授業では、現代フランスを中心に扱い、フランスにおける政治、経済、外交、医療、科学、農業、環境問題、ジャーナリズム、文学、映画、ポップカルチャー、食文化、観光、交通などをフランス語で書かれた資料を用いて紹介したあと、それぞれのテーマについてフランス語でディスカッションします。また、授業の終盤ではフランス語圏の現況も紹介します。
In this class, we will focus on contemporary France, introducing politics, economy, diplomacy, medicine, science, agriculture, environmental issues, journalism, literature, movies, pop culture, food culture, tourism, and transportation in France using materials written in French, followed by a discussion on each topic in French. Discussions will be held on each topic in French. In the last part of the class, the current situation in French-speaking countries will also be introduced.
基本的なフランス語を理解した学生が、いっそう文法力と読解力を深め、語彙力と表現力を身につけ、まとまった内容を話し、聞き取ることができるよう、語学力を育成します。生活に必要な情報を取得し、自分の意思を伝え、基本的な意見交換ができる程度のコミュニケーション能力を身につけます。また、まとまった内容の文章を読みこなす程度の読解力を育成します。とりわけこの授業では「聞く」力と「話す」力を重点的に鍛えます。同時に一連の学習を通じて、外国語運用能力を高め、既定の目標レベルに到達するための実行と継続力も養っていきます。特にこの授業ではフランスを含むフランス語圏についても解説し、複眼的視点を身につけます。

フランスの高校生用の哲学の参考書Denis Vanhouette, Philosophie, Term L, ES, S (Collection ABC du BAC), Nathan, 2015から一部を抜粋して読みます。この参考書は、意識、他者、言語、労働、社会、幸福などのさまざまな主題ごとに章が分かれており、各章とも、関連するさまざまな問題や、その問題にさまざまな哲学者が出した答えを紹介し、最後に大学入学資格試験（日本の共通テストのようなもの）の問題が載っている、という作りになっています。それぞれのテーマについて学べるだけでなく、フランス社会での哲学倫理学の利用のされ方についてもいろいろ学ぶことのできる、とても興味深い本です。参加者の希望も聞きながら章を一つ選び、適宜カットしながら、できるだけその章の全体を読みます。
各回とも全員に訳文を提出していただきます。ただし、各回とも訳文作成のためのヒントを事前に配布しますし、文法事項を丁寧に確認しながら進めますので、文法に不安がある場合でも受講できます。

19世紀以降のフランスの文学批評の歴史を振り返ります。この授業では、20世紀の文学と思想に大きな影響を与えたポール・ヴァレリーの文学批評から、『詩学講義』（1937-1945）の一部を読み、その思考表現の特徴を分析します。
This course reviews the history of French literary criticism since the 19th century. In this class, we will read a portion of Paul Valéry's "Lectures on Poetics" (1937-1945) from his literary criticism, which had a great influence on 20th century literature and thought, and analyze the characteristics of his thought expression.
