実構造物を模擬した部材・接合部・部分架構の模型や縮尺模型を設計し、試験体や模型の図面作成、発注、製作管理を行い、性能確認実験等各種実験を行うことで、構造物の応答や破壊挙動を体感し、構造設計や施工管理で重要な事項を習得する。

本科目は、実験を通して構造関連の授業科目(座学)で学んだ理論などをより深く理解することに主眼が置かれている。また、実験計画から考察まで、建築構造学上最も重要となる実験的研究を遂行する上で重要なプロセスを経験することで、都市・建築学修士研修を行う上での基礎知識を習得する。
This subject focuses on a deeper understanding of the theory learned in structure-related lessons (classroom lectures) through experiments. In addition, by experiencing the important processes in carrying out the most important experimental research in architectural structure, from experimental planning to consideration, students will acquire the basic knowledge for conducting master's training in urban architecture.
