水環境学に関する調査・研究の実施方法を実践的に理解するため，広瀬川・名取川という比較的身近なフィールドを主な対象として演習を行う。
本演習の実施によって，水環境の調査研究における一連の方法（調査計画，現地計測，解析，取りまとめ）に要する知識や経験を得ることを目標とする。

The course helps students to understand the basic methodologies of research works by performing field works and analyses in nearby rivers of Hirose River and Natori River and to obtain skills and experiences of water environmental investigations and research.

授業計画

少人数で編成したグループ（所属研究室ごとが原則）別にテーマを設定して，自由研究を行う．
演習内容は，各グループで設定テーマに沿って，文献調査や現地調査，データ解析を行う．
最終回には，全グループが集まり発表会を実施し，それぞれの検討結果について討議を行う．

Students are divided into small groups. Each group will perform literature reviews, field measurements and data analysis on the topics assigned to each group. Presentations and discussions will be made in the final class.

成績評価方法及び基準

調査結果についての発表会を行った際のプレゼンテーションとその後に作成するレポート及び個別演習での取り組みの姿勢から評価する。
