１．目的：デザインの基本的考え方の習得をするとともに，統合的な思考力の涵養を目的とする．また，他人との協調作業やプレゼンテーション能力の涵養も目的である．
２．概要：デザインに対する基本的知識，考え方を講義した後，少人数の班編成を行い，班毎に，簡単な設計課題を橋梁・河川・都市の中から一つ選択し設計案策定及び模型製作を行う．
３．達成目標等：この授業では以下のような能力を習得することを目標とする．
・周辺環境や景観に配慮した基礎的なデザインを行うことができる．
・設計に対する複数の要請，設計要素の複雑な関連性を想定し，一つの形にまとめてゆく統合的な見方をすることができる．
・設計に対する自らのアイディアを他人と協同しつつ高めてゆき，プレゼンテーションすることができる．

1.Purpose:
The purpose of this course is to learn the basic concepts of design and to cultivate the ability to think in an integrated manner. This course also aims to cultivate the ability to work cooperatively with others and to make presentations.
2.Outline:
After a lecture on the basic knowledge and ideas of design, students are divided into small groups, and each group selects a simple design problem from among bridges, rivers, and cities, and formulates a design plan and makes a model.
3.Goal of study:
In this class, students are expected to acquire the following skills.
-To be able to make a basic design that takes into account the surrounding environment and landscape.
-The student will be able to envision the multiple demands on the design and the complex relationships among the design elements, and will be able to take an integrated view that brings them together into a single form.
-To be able to develop and present one's own ideas for design in collaboration with others.
幅広い視点を持って設計に望むため，3セメスターの講義をなるべく多く履修しておくこと．この授業は演習であり，欠席は望ましくない．
