目的：さまざまな通信システムについて知り、現代社会での通信の重要性を理解するとともに、さまざまな通信システムとその方式についての概論的理解を得る。

概要：通信を行うメディア（音・画像）、通信路のメディア（有線・無線・光）、通信の利用形態（固定・移動）について、さまざまな通信システム応用を紹介する。

達成目標：
現代社会での通信システムの重要性について理解する。
さまざまな通信メディアについて、その概要を理解する。

Purpose:
To get knowledge on various communication systems, to understand the importance of communication in the modern society and to understand overview of various communication systems.

Overview:
Lectures are given on various communication systems for different target media (sound and image), communication media (wired, wireless and optical) and usage (fixed and mobile).

Goals:
- To understand importance of communication systems in the modern society.
- To understand the overview of various communication media.

授業時間外学習

プリントと参考書をよく読んで，予習・復習を必ず行うようにすること．授業時に課される宿題を完成し，締め切りまでに提出すること．理解できていない点があれば電子メールで担当先生に質問すること．

Students are required to prepare and review for each class by reading the handout and references. Students are also required to complete assignments and submit assignments in time. If there remain any parts they cannot understand, they should ask questions of professors by e-email.
