Course Title

Advanced training for geologic field survey

授業の目的と概要

本実習では地層からその地域の地質構造や環境の変遷を読み解くことを目的としている．仙台近隣の様々な地域に露出する中新世～鮮新世の地層を実際に見学し，柱状図・スケッチを作成し，地史を読み解く．

Purpose/Abstract

The purpose of this course is to understand the geological structure and environmental evolution of an area based on observation of strata. Students visit Miocene-Pliocene strata exposed verious sections near Sendai, and make columns and sketches.

学習の到達目標

野外観察の結果を基に，地史を読み解く．

Goal

Students are required to interpret geological history of the surveyed region based on thier result of observation of strata.

授業内容・方法と進度予定

1．蔵王町，松島町など，仙台周辺の地層の露出地点で野外実習を行う．
2．各地点で柱状図やスケッチを作成する．
3．作成した柱状図を基に，地史を解釈する．

Contentsandprogressscheduleofthe class

1. Training of field survey is performed near Sendai such as Zao and Matsushima.
2. Students is required to make geologic columns and sketches in each area.
3. Students is required to interpret geologic history of the studied section and make report.
