植物の多様性理解のための野外実習

Course Title

Practices in plant taxonomy

授業の目的と概要

植物の標本を作製し、名前を調べることは、植物の多様性を理解するための初歩的な手続きとして重要です。本実習では、植物の標本を作ることの意義やその手順について解説した上で，実際には野外に自生している植物の形態観察、標本作製を行い、植物の名前を調べる方法について学びます。また、植物標本をどのように扱うのか，植物標本はどのように保存されているのかなどの実際についても、標本館で学びます。

Purpose/Abstract

To understand plant diversity, we need observe the morphology as a first step. For the observation, we can use specimens in a herbarium. Thus, making specimens is one of essential works for plant taxonomy. In this course, we will collect wild plants in field around the Hakkoda botanical garden and will make dried specimens. Later, in the herbarium in Kawauchi campus, we will identify the plants collected in the field.

授業内容・方法と進度予定

八甲田植物分園または青葉山キャンパスの周辺で、植物の採集を行い、標本作製を行います。また、川内の本園にある標本館で標本の実際について解説して、実際に作業を行います。日程にもよりますが、実際に自分で作製した標本を標本館に収蔵するところまでを目標とします。

Contentsandprogressscheduleofthe class

This class will be conducted at the Hakkoda branchof the Botanical Garden or Aobayama Campus for three days in summer and at the Botanical Garden at Kawauchi Campus for a day in winter. In Mt. Hakkoda we will collect wild plants and make specimens. In Kawauchi Campus, identification of the plants collected will be done.

出席と作業を勘案して，評価します．

この実習は実地で行いますが，一部，オンデマンド録画を併用する場合があります
実習の日程は7月頃に決定される予定ですが，1回でも欠席すると単位は取得できません．8月上旬から9月中旬に実施されるので，帰省や旅行などの予定が入る可能性がある人は，十分にお気をつけ下さい．八甲田分園で実施する場合でも，旅費は自己負担になります．

Remarks

Office hours: Please make an appointment via email.
This practical will be conducted on site, but on-demand recording may be used when necessary.
The schedule will be decided around July, but students will not receive credit if they miss even one class. This practice will be conducted from early August to mid-September, so those who may have plans to return home or travel should take extra care. Travel expenses are to be borne by the student, even if the course is held at the Mt. Hakkouda site.
