Pollination Ecology
Nearly 90% of angiosperms are believed to rely on animals (primarily insects) for pollination. Consequently, the relationship between flowers and insects is often regarded as one of the most crucial interspecies interactions within ecosystems. This lecture will focus on the relationship between flowers and insects to enhance understanding of the principles governing evolution, interspecies interactions, and community assembly.
Through studying the role of the relationship between flowers and insects in ecosystems, this course aims to enhance students' understanding of how ecosystems are structured.
